QUOTE(PcWork @ Sep 20 2010, 03:18 PM) yeah i oso think ppk more neutral. Yeah I think so too.. should be better then Ordance DAC-1 + PPK/Secret Amp. Since I am going neutral might as well have my portable and desktop similar. I find it hard to listen to my portable after Lavry DA11 combo lol... a lot of missing details.but ppk is amp alone. while Centrance DACport is DAC + amp. which if u pair ppk with notebook built in soundcard. it can't fight centrance DAC at all. |

Anyone got tried DACPort with normal usb cable other then the default stock one? Was looking for a shorter cable so bought a normal RM10 clear-foil 15cm... but it sounded crap.. the soundstage becomes smaller and bass becomes muddier compare to the stock usb cable.. (>___<)

QUOTE(xandman @ Jan 3 2011, 09:37 PM) If you get it, then you need to brainwash of all DA11... don't even think of comparing it haha. I have both so I know.... haha. But if you are in for portable sake, this is one of the best one to get. I prefer this over pico dac/amp. Only downturn is it is only USB powered and one input and output, nothing more but I like simple plug & play so it does it job EDIT: Oooo.. didn't know DACport support iPad now EDIT2: Anyone knows where to test/get Kimber Kable USB cable over here? http://www.kimber.com/products/interconnec...usb/minibus/cu/ This post has been edited by xenohawk: Jan 3 2011, 10:04 PM |

Oh wow.. just tried the Centrance Universal Driver and have it on ASIO in Foobar. Got some sound improvement over native WASAPI. Will see the the latency remains true or not cause I tend to have dropouts on windows native drivers when on heavy external usb hard disk activity.
But with centrence driver, you have to manually set the bitrate now. Doesn't seems to auto-switch like native drivers. Well at least it is bit4bit now This post has been edited by xenohawk: Jan 4 2011, 09:30 AM |
