They probably will look nice, but we didn't do it....  doh.gif

yeah..from your settings and what i see from my cheap CRT monitor..you purposely want to underexpose the background but try to to illuminate the car right? hmm.gif

turning on the headlights would create a much better effect in my noob opinion as it will greatly emphasise the car with the additional glow. blush.gif

can try turning the wheels to the extreme left would also look nice.. blush.gif

IMO...i will buy the camera which feels more comfortable in my own hands..the extra features are of course bonuses..

camera bodies keep getting better every 6 months..you really can't keep with the pace in technology..especially if you are a sony user..first NEX series then now SLT..i wonder how many more revolutions can they produce...? laugh.gif

when i got my dinosaur..iso 800 was all the hype..2 years fast forward, now if your camera no iso 6400 cannot sell at all.

on the hand... you don't get high quality lenses every 6 months...or sometimes maybe 1 or 2 new really good lenses once a year...hence, i think, its better to get better lenses rather than keep waiting for better camera bodies.

shootkk - Understand you rmeaning but i am into taking still photo more than video (at least for now). I still need to do a lot of reading and get myself DSLR. For now, a55 is my choice.

zstan - my budget is around ~3k only. a900 is totally out of budget

my friend is asking me to get Nikon so we can share accessories. Guess my dilemma will fade away after i have gotten myself one DSLR. Now still can play around with choices.
*
share accessories?

will you borrow your friend your car all the time if you have one? laugh.gif

wann ask u guys about uwa, I saw tokina is the only f2.8 uwa around...any advantages apart from low light shooting for uwa?? dun say bokeh ah...i think there isn't much bokeh from uwa due to dof sweat.gif

albnok, or any other bros, wanna ask who tested the gps version of the sony dslr?? i suppose its like any gps device, where indoor the gps does not really work?? also, when startup the camera, need to wait for gps to connect/detect before being able to use the camera??
*
can take very creative portraits too! the MFD of the tokina is damn short! forgotten how much la though. at such close distance, can make nice nice bokeh also one. biggrin.gif

very nice build as well! rclxms.gif

hmmm...i don't think i know the basics enough to fully utilize the function and features offered in a pro body
a mid-range like a5xx would be suitable
*
technically, a5xx is enhanced entry level.

a7xx is semi pro.

and a8xx and a9xx considered pro.

anyway..its very hard to judge nowadays.

like the nikon d7000. name is entry level(compared with the d3000 n d5000) but specs is above d90. all rojak d. don't read too much into it.

Been to the IRIS 2010 workshop sponsored by Sigma and Low Yat last saturday.

Being the sponsor of the event, there are some lenses from Sigma ready for the participant to test on. There were 85mm F1.4, 50mm F1.4, and 70-200mm F2.8. Too bad there were no Sony mount >.<

I'd say im really impressed by the sharpness of Sigma's 50mm F1.4. Being unable to mount it, I've asked my friend who uses a Nikon D5000 to grab the lens and use it for d entire test shooting of the models and at wide open till F2, the models are pin sharp at the edges and details.

Here's 1 of my better shot (I think ^^,") from the event.

no reflector or flash?

IMO..for the money i pay for the 50mm f1.4..i expect it to be sharp at f1.4 as well...if not might as well i buy a f2 lens... biggrin.gif

like you said...its more about getting used to the weight..

but looking at sony..i won be surprised if they can come out with a new 24-70 with the same or better optics, but remain the same size and weight with my tammy. biggrin.gif

ok when i mean primes, i refering those below the 85mm range ya? biggrin.gif i dun mind a 300mm f2.8 in my bag. tongue.gif
