QUOTE(albnok @ Sep 28 2010, 12:54 AM)
zstan: I know there's a sun peeking through, but the shot doesn't seem to have much to it.

hazril: I like the expression though the car kills the old-school feel.

Mikeshashimi: Both the 35-105mm and 28-85mm are F3.5-4.5. The original 35-105mm is better than the re-styled version.

yeah i was trying to recreate the sun glowing brightly through the leaves but failed quite badly..any tips or guides i can read about this technique? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

lwliam: I overexposed on purpose.

zstan: You'd need a lens that loves flaring, for that. biggrin.gif

8tvt: Usually, even in Sony slides, they don't mention exact brand names (though it is obvious) but I am surprised they did it here.

any cheap cheap lens for that? or DIY methods? icon_question.gif

Popular Photography magazine proposes the term I.L.C. for them(i.e. NEX & other mirrorless), for “interchangeable-lens compacts.” Let’s run with it.

Animals @ Taiping

Some of the animal shots from Taiping. =D

Sorry for the disturbing first picture. Took this shot while I was at my colleague's house. Apparently this cat had a fight with the monkeys and its eyes being hurt quite badly. =(

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Sep 28 2010, 10:20 PM)
Guys,

I am in dilemma .. is it worth changing a700 to a850? .. wink.gif ..please give me some inputs ..

I am thinking of pairing a850 with 50mm f1.4 and 70-300G ...

I will let go my a700+1680CZ+50mm 1.8+VG ..

is it a good move?

A850 with 50mm will be a bit limited but that is not my concern .. I am concern about the picture quality between combination of a850+50mm and a700+cz1680 ..

Thanks ..
*
my suggestion is... keep the 16-80CZ and use it first(yes, you will have cropped pictures) before you can get enough money to buy a 24-70CZ..

unless you are like shootkk who prefers to work with primes more biggrin.gif

QUOTE(shootkk @ Sep 29 2010, 09:54 AM)
zstan : Hey, you can't blame me. Even if I have the CZ 24-70mm I will be using both ends of it most of the time. It's either 24mm or 70mm around 98% of the time.

I have a 24-85mm standard zoom lens and most of the time it's 24mm or 85mm when I shoot portraits. So I'll rather have the 24mm Zeiss (if and when I get it) plus the 85mm SAM that will weigh less than the 24-70mm zoom.

And did I mention that 50mm on a FF is one lens that can be used to shoot most of anything? Macro and long telephoto excluded, of course.

lol not blaming you la...

different people different preferences ma... laugh.gif

some like to work with zooms, some like to work with primes. icon_rolleyes.gif

they compare the 16mm pancake with 85mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss? sure not as sharp lo. laugh.gif

although it might ridiculous, but somehow, some people (generally incompetent camera sales person) they worship CaNikon badly.. i try ask about sony, then i get respond mostly all will say : why sony?? and keep promote the 2 big player..

and is true that majority review tend to bias... so, suggest : go try yourself and only use review as reference, not fact!

@zstan
sorry to hear.. XD but time to upgrade lol..
