QUOTE(andrekua @ Sep 15 2010, 12:05 AM) Ovi Map is getting better by each version... However, Garmin is still a step further. Maybe Nokia could integrate GPU acceleration so that 3D Map is less taxing on the system. Navteq should update their bolehland maps... the Ovi Maps is good enuf oledi now just left the maps need to be up todate and more POI... This is funny... I wasnt even quoting you... why or why... |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Sep 15 2010, 12:07 AM) not really. Very simple example N97, 5800XM and X6 GPS doesnt work in my car. Only phone currently working is the nokia n900 in V-cool. If they are using same thing i should face the same issue. Since N8 and ovi maps is made QT i wonder is it possible to bad pprt the ovi maps schematic won't lie... what left to be different is the antenna use... |

I think its just Google who are willing to give everyone access to their code. I think Nokia probably embrace on the same thing but only towards developers or manufacturers and not end user. |

QUOTE(andrekua @ Sep 15 2010, 12:16 AM) Just wait n see... Nokia hesitate to give full Maemo source code because there are lots of Nokia's proprietary stuff in it.I don't think there is no "vanilla" version like android. Will it be Nokia marketing tricks? I think its just Google who are willing to give everyone access to their code. I think Nokia probably embrace on the same thing but only towards developers or manufacturers and not end user. But MeeGo is different.Current N900 users can enter the tablets download area & see that there is vanilla version & there is also another version with nokia proprietary stuff. So Nokia's MeeGo approach is pretty much like Android. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Sep 15 2010, 12:16 AM) When X6 was 1st launched it was priced around RM2K(32GB CWM)Now?The price went down faster than some stocks Whether people pay RM1 or RM1K they expect good product.I don't think X6 ever satisfied the pricetag. |
