for whatever grips u have, work on the technics rather that try different grips., my 2 cents opinion

I m sure u guys have seen wrong/weird kind of grips but if it works for him, why not. I have seen one where he uses semi western but he hit with the other side of racquet frame.  weird huh...

Thnx for the reply but I'm not worried bout technical side....just hv dilemma on choosing one cos both works well for me....wink.gif

it's nt weird, it's just technique;)

Thnx bro Prae for the simple and sound advice:)

wow, if both grips works well for u, then it sure tough for the opponent to understand your way of hitting the ball, a plus point for you

Lukas Lacko is a very good player.
Only lacking in self belief.

Yesterday I tried my PDGT for the first time.
; )

1st impressions on the racquet are :-

Feel - Isn't impressive and I'd say not to my liking at all because of the
hollowness feel after ball contact. I guess this can't be helped as
pure drives are known for this since the 1st generation.

Power - Yeah, I'm very satisfied in this area coz the racquet is mighty
powerful. All my shots are landing in no man's land.

Spin - The most impressive racquet in terms of spin I've tried. At times
I think too much which affects the depth of the ball too. However
on the other hand I get very good consistency.

Serve - You can impart lots of spin or flat serve easily. Lots of power
as well. Helps me alot.

Summary
Likes - Power, spin, serve and consistency improved. All comes easily
without much effort.

Dislikes - Feels very hollow (mmmmmm.... can't feel the ball after
contact). Grip size L2 seems smaller than other manufacturer
causing too much spin. Need to add additional layer of
overgrip.

Overall, I'm satisfied with this stick as it improves my game. However I have got to sacrifice in terms of feel. Well can't get the best of everything I guess.

Nice review CK, Thanks for posting!

I think vobs is slightly more competitive lah......West Malaysia, definitely have more courts and tennis kaki....hence you guys have access to more local tournaments or gatherings......

I am more the recreational player as my group is fixed, there are no other tennis groups :-/

@angel,

I won't say which racquet is better coz there are areas one is better than the other.

Feel definately Yonex. So to use this I think we have to have good footwork, timing and technique. If you have all these at optimum level, then for sure Yonex is the better choice.

Easy to play & gives good performance. Pure drive wins outright. So it rewards me as a lazy player lacking in power and enthusiam.

So my current condition, the Pure Drive is a better racquet (for me). Still in the stage of getting use to it. Control is still a problem and lots of areas to explore.
