did te comic fiesta no2 background edited?
cz as what i know they use orange light around tat spot.
Or isit ur flash?

I edited the background to direct the viewers' attention to the cosplayers.

Their costumes looked colorful, so I just desaturate everything else so that the viewers can concentrate on the colors.

On your Comic Fiesta shots.

I like no. 1 - the expression of the cosplayer though I don't fancy a tilted angle.

No. 3
I would have preferred you focussed on the eyes of the cosplayer and showed his expression. The blade is much too fake to elicit any threat (in my opinion lar) and may have been better if it was put in bokeh. We all know it's a blade so no emphasis is needed.

Just my 2 cents lar.

Thanks bro, really appreciate the critiques. (I have another shot which the bokeh goes the other way round (focus at the cosplayer- the rifle scope particularly rather than the props)

PP-ed to remove saturation and added graininess to portray the darker side of the image itself.

That shot would have been great if one could see the crosshair in the scope a bit more clearly. I wonder how one could remove the reflection from it.

#1 is nice.
#2, the feet shouldnt be cut off xD
#3, the body part that reflected the sun light is over expose
#4, the gown part is nice, and maybe if it is landscape with the background would look nice.

netto, thanks for the input. Really appreciate that. I do admit i'm not experienced yet shooting in broad daylight. Will shoot more of this scenario and learn to come up with solution to overcome such challenges.

For pic no. 3 of your school girl series is a nice shot but I don't know why my eyes keep getting pulled towards that mailbox next to her head. Maybe a shot without that mailbox would be better?

Also I don't get the school girl in abandoned building connection.

I understand what you mean, but due to whatever reasons we had to go with the abandon house location and improvise as much as we can though there isn't much connection between subject and background. More like
a concept shooting only. May not necessarily work.

1 not bad, but the thing blocking the hand is disturbing

#1 is nice...but I think #2 is overexposed to me, especially on the back, arm and hand area..

Lighting is nice but for no. 3 I feel the veil is a bit unnatural. Perhaps should get an assistant to hold the veil and towards the back of the bride. Just my 2 cents...
