Added on December 2, 2010, 8:26 pm QUOTE(Zeto91 @ Dec 2 2010, 07:29 PM) same i only can drive around 350-400km only, i wondering why... I guess its the way we drive la hmm my top speed went up to 175-185 arhhhh crazy XD normal day drive 130-160 on highway Added on December 2, 2010, 8:30 pm QUOTE(jack81ker @ Dec 2 2010, 10:52 AM) I've tried 160-170km, car still stable, steering also solid feel. only thing is the car woobles up and down a lot, maybe due to road condition and the R spec suspension, engine noise also a bit loud. This post has been edited by shlimmm: Dec 2 2010, 08:30 PM |

QUOTE(jack81ker @ Dec 3 2010, 12:04 AM) thanks for the info ... When you cold start your car, the car ECU will rev the engine a bit to warm it up, after a while it will drop back to the idle level. It is suppose to be like this bro, no worries.gonna test the car speeding after service my car for 1k .. still under 1k go test at North South Highway anyone have suggestion on improving the sound block? btw, this is another situation i met, in the morning, when i step on the brake and turn the key to start the car, the engine roaring weirdly it like it's trying to wake up from sleep (rev high automatically,"roar" , and then slow down again ), which previous doesn't feel it is functioning that way Question: should i step on brake when starting the car, without release the parking brake... or it's function that day, just i might over sensitive jor ? i would observe for another few days before i have conclusion. Added on December 3, 2010, 8:37 pm QUOTE(eyesee @ Dec 3 2010, 04:02 PM) How many KM is each of your trip? How much on highway? mine is about 57km each bar...More highway driving will improve FC. While a lot of short trips (maybe < 10KM each) will drop your FC. My FC is worst that yours as I do mostly short trips. Fuel guage will drop one bar about every 42KM. You do the maths. QUOTE(jack81ker @ Dec 3 2010, 11:38 PM) Not sure why the brochure stated otherwise, my M2 R spec front grille is body colour though.Added on December 4, 2010, 1:10 am QUOTE(keago @ Dec 4 2010, 12:57 AM) add me in~ Welcome to the club m2 white.. why mine full tank only can go 300++km for ron 95? ron97 less than 300km? is it something wrong dy? mind to share with us your type (hatchback / sedan) and location? Is your car still under 1k mileage? usually FC improves after 1st service, not forgetting driving style also effects FC. This post has been edited by shlimmm: Dec 4 2010, 01:10 AM |

added, thanks
a number of reasons may contribute to your current FC, frequent start and stop per day, short travel distance, caught in jam, air filter dirty, tyre pressure too low. not too sure how to advise you further on this, I'm no expert though... |

there are some threads on page 17 about the K&N filter and arm rest, you can check it out. Am thinking of getting 10 owners to bulk purchase the filter @280 each. For arm rest I only know JDM Singapore has it.

I came across this website before, the only thing I don't like about this supercharger is the micro switch, in our M2s the only option is to mount it near the acceleration pedal and it will engage when you floored the petal...
I don't really fancy a micro switch at the petal. |

Added on December 6, 2010, 5:58 pm QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Dec 6 2010, 10:15 AM) Do you guys warm the engine up like 5 minutes early in the morning before you go off for work? Some guys told me that it's a waste of time and FC... just drive the car like normal without rev-ing too hard on it and that would warm up the car fine. I did notice FC is slightly better after I stop warming up my car everyday.. any thoughts? I read in a few threads saying exactly the same thing. For me I warm up for 1 minute then drive slow until blue indicator turns off. This post has been edited by shlimmm: Dec 6 2010, 05:58 PM |

QUOTE(Grimlock8888 @ Dec 7 2010, 08:32 PM) Dear Zoomers... Recently my rim got dented & my tyre need to be chgd...I call up Bermas authorised dealer for a spare tyre and they told me 1 tyre cost RM380!!! I like wat the hell... Thanks for sharing bro, good information there. Mind to share with us the tyre shop name & location?I checked most of the tyre shops & they told me the Mazda 2 tyre size 195/45 is not available in the market & could not be found except from Mazda own dealer... I tried to trade my current tyres & they told me that it is not tradeable as none than M2 is using those tyres... So I went to Klang & managed to trade my tyres for RM100 each & chgd to size 205/45...My baby look much better now & each tyre cost me RM270 only (before trade in price...Brand, DUNLOP)...The owner even told me that 195/45 is too small for my 16" rim... Guys if u need to chg ur tyre i would suggest to purchase outside rather than Bermas authorised dealer...the price is crazy... even the size 195/50 cost around RM250-270 only...& they are charging RM380 just because others have no access to those size... I'll snap a pic of my new tyre when I have the time... 205/45 looks just nice for our rim... + stable ... Just to share my experience on my tyre prob with other zoomers... QUOTE(Magpies9 @ Dec 8 2010, 09:37 PM) Under Bermaz 3 years free service, they give us Shell semi-synthetic oil but also maintain that 10k service interval. When i question the SC personnel on this he pointed me to the big Shell poster that claim their semi-synthetic can last for 10k. But then again, SC always recommend paying customer to use fully synthetic in order to last 10k. You should make a formal complain, as they should be giving you the same Shell Helix Ultra fully synthetic oil like the rest of us who don't have 3 years free service, I only get 3 labour free services and had to pay for oils and parts.Which oil are the SC providing for 3 years free service? |

I'm planning to buy the K&N filter, if you want I can put you in the list, if we get 10 buyers then price is RM280.Has anyone aldy change the air filter? How is it (K&N?) ? If i do it not in bulk but individually would it very costly? |

QUOTE(mashi74 @ Dec 10 2010, 08:29 AM) Yes shlimmm, pls put me in the list. I really wish to gain horsepower for my M2. Btw, i am in ipoh, i get it from u in KL and no problem to install on my own? And it's nothing to affect the Mazda warranty, right? I don't think it will void warranty, but will check with my friend as see. As for installation it's quite straight forward, just drop in filter only, but still need to recalibrate the ECU. The guy who sell it actually travels to and fro Penang/KL on a weekly basis, I think he can stop by Ipoh and install it for you.well, so far there's 2 in the list 1. shlimmm 2. mashi74 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Hi Guys,
IMHO I think its best to pay for the fully synthetic oil in the long run, you still enjoy the free service on other items for 3 years, much better deal than mine as I only get 3 labour free services.... |

QUOTE(tehmicheal84 @ Dec 13 2010, 08:21 PM) This issues i already found out since i bought the car, workshop outside all recommend HX-7 to be changed every 7k or 8k and i raise this to SC and they mentioned Shell did the test HX-7 can last for 10k. by the way 10k service is the standard service package for bermaz, thats why free service definitely will free their standard package. i get free 1 year service from bermaz as well, 1st 1k service they gave HX-7 and therefore i go for 2nd service even at only 8k mileage, my 2nd service i top up rm110 for helix ultra lo. if we really dote our car a lot, then definitely cant care much about money. its not about bermaz cheat or what, its their standard service package. its that if we dote our car that much, either service earlier or go for helix ultra, which mean ---> $$$ bro, you have any photos on the M2 arm rest? |
