Just to share with you guys.

I sent my car for polishing yesterday in a shop somewhere near my house. It was about 4pm then. All the while i've wanting to get my car properly polished as i noticed a lot of tiny scratches on the car. When reached the shop, the guy asked me what type of polish i want. I just tell him i want to get rid of the scratches on the car. The guy suggested that i should take the 3 layer polish and it will cost me RM250 and that he uses good quality polish (showed me his accessories). I was quite reluctant at first since this is my first time to have my car polished. I told the guy i'll give it a try if he can lower the price to RM200. He later countered offer at RM210 which i agreed. He told me the whole process will take about 3 hours and he can sent me home first and later delivered the car to me. I agreed to it. About 3 hours later, he delivered the car to me. I must say i'm quite impressed with the work done. All the scratches disappeared and the car looked like brand new.

I've attached some photos of my car after it being polished. FYI, my windows are tinted with Llumar film. It has been close to a year now and the film still remain intact. No signs of peeling off as of yet. Happy with it.  biggrin.gif

Wanna consult you pros out there.
i) Is RM200-RM250 the market price for 3 later car polish?
ii) This guy is using Meguiars polishing accessories on my car. Is this a good brand?

Yup, Mequiars is good. I used to send my car for polish with Meguiars as well. Even its car wash is good, u can feel the extraordinary smoothness of the body after the washing. And, I spent RM250 for car polishing with Meguiars.........and your sharing simply reminds me.....why am i so stupid never ask for discount, alamak doh.gif

Hohoho...okies okies

This guy operates from Klang (Teluk Pulai area to be precise). If u seriously wants to give it a try, i can accompany you and get you the discounts. Not to say i'm close to the guy but i believe he can recognize my car. Not too many M2s around Klang as of yet.

I did it in Ipoh and this should be the only one uses Meguiar's. It's in Ipoh Garden East commercial district, nearby to these shops that can be seen from NS Expressway, Waraku Japanese Restaurant, Beauty Balloon.

using it now, can feel slight smoother acceleration.. but, of cos rm280 stuff we don expect very drastic difference..
*
Yup, smoother acceleration & gear change. Fuel consumption vise no significant finding yet.

Went to Subang & KL last week. See quite a number of M2 (& also other Mazda models) on the road despite my short trip there.

Visited a shopping mall that displayed Ford Fiesta......it really better equipped & designed than our M2, yet slightly cheaper......

OHHH..... cry.gif I cannot believe, my battery is dead this afternoon without any sign. Out of sudden i couldn't start my car and everythg on the dashboard gone crazy, odometer blinking, speedometer & rpm meter swinging min to max...... The worst is it was the hottest afternoon.

Lucky, it's gone today but not next week, where my car will reach 1 year maturity date. SC Ipoh Chin 3S response swiftly to my request and send someone to check and replace the battery for me. And i am able to claim warranty.....oooooohhhh sweat.gif
