Good morning everyone
Just flash my Defy to Froyo according this Guide. done by 11am today. Fyi, my original firmware is Singapore set 2.5.1 and already root before i upgrade it. Also the USB debugging mode is enable. Please take note before flash, test your phone under bootloader mode with RSD. Make sure it able to detect. ( My vista can't detect but XP pro can. Same laptop with 2 OS) the original language need to change to english when finish flash, else you might not understand the wording. no worry, easy to recognized the icon where to change language No camera issue, photo taking & video are function for me .. this rom can view chinese but no chinese input tested browser with full flash website. exp www.e-brothers.com and also facebook game bejeweled blitz ( a bit lag for this game ). Thats the report for now. Try on your own risk ya This post has been edited by tyenfei: Feb 10 2011, 01:26 PM |

QUOTE(lingch @ Feb 13 2011, 10:06 AM) Will need to flash back to stock and upgrade to official froyo from there. These are just custom froyo based on official build but it is not actually optimized for Defy just yet. Cause the cpu score on quadrant for froyo still very low compared to other phones with official update. Linpack score of 14-15 on froyo is a joke still by the time of official 2.2 come .. we might jump to 2.3 already If you are running on current froyo build with motoblur the performance is almost identical to eclair's. With deblur, it seems to run smoother but not by much. There aren't any significant issues with latest build but it does seems to make the flash led weaker. Other than that, this phone still stood atop all other smartphones in terms of toughness and durability while trying to wow the ladies |

QUOTE(lingch @ Feb 14 2011, 09:00 AM) I would recommend jboogie3 orange deblur and apply the update.zip. That guy's rom have been heavily deodexed and optimized with around 200mb free ram. For sure won't encounter any restart even will heaps of running apps in the background alright, downloading the orange deblur now before it done, need to know for my Defy already in 2.2 froyo with system recovery .. can I just extract the downloaded orange deblur under SD card and use the system recovery to wipe data/cache then just restore it ? |
