QUOTE(FreedomGSX @ Nov 20 2010, 04:08 PM) does anyone face this problem? my friend just installed UniFi yesterday so i went over to his house to make a download test, the speed is fast, close to 700kb/s but its very unstable. it keeps dropping and increasing. such as 680 500 200 450 600 100 30 20 500... kinda like that. he stays in a condo and his router is just 4 feet away , no walls. using wifi or wired?

QUOTE(FreedomGSX @ Nov 20 2010, 08:18 PM) wifi has a limited transfer rate+packet loss during transmission might reduced your full speed. Try to connect using wired LAN, try to download from a decent filehosting.

QUOTE(jchue73 @ Nov 22 2010, 01:25 PM) Best test is to do simultanous download. Check the sustained speed. That would be your best gauge instead of relying TM's speed test. and speedtest.net too. Not reliable enough though.

QUOTE(Susuwatari @ Nov 24 2010, 02:55 PM) I will do the same, will write my own version, really feel cheated. Well the good news is, I just called and they informed cust that registered before 1st Nov for VIP20 will get 8 FREE PREMIUM CHANNELS. Added on November 24, 2010, 6:48 pmQUOTE(jchue73 @ Nov 24 2010, 07:33 PM) Wah, you have your own fibre optic cable? 400~500 depends on how long you are gonna place your BTU. RM50/m for additional cabling. This post has been edited by jAkUn: Nov 24 2010, 06:48 PM

QUOTE(denver @ Nov 30 2010, 08:49 PM) I have to turn it on 24-hours because the phone will not work if the the thing is switched off. I need the phone to be on for my house alarm system. Alarm system can't be connected to UNIFI line at the moment. Already confirmed this. However, a solution.. For a FTTH cust, u can opt to keep your existing phone line, and u can use that phone line only for alarm purposes.
