guys, i want to ask. since my area is soon covered, i would like to know, do i need to terminate streamyx first and apply unifi or apply unifi first and then after they installed it, proceed to terminate streamyx? i need to use internet everyday.

bro....
streamyx n unifi a 2 entity (dont ask me why hehe...) so u can register unifi .. get it installed... once happy the u can terminate yr existing streamyx... else u can keep it as backup ... in case unifi go sssslllooooowwwwwwwwwww rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

from FTB to BTU should be multimode only. they will only charge you if the length of the fiber cable from FTB to BTU is more than 15m. so try to position your FTB as close as possible to the BTU. from FDP to FTB is free, mine is about 45m with no extra charge. from my FTB to BTU i asked the installer to gimme slightly longer incase i wanna reposition next time. poured a glass of coke each for both of them kau tim smile.gif  i asked the installers, they said only charge from FTB to BTU if exceed 15m...it's written at the service worksheet as well.

thanks bro ... my initial plan is to use my own cable from FTP to BTU .... but when i check the actual cable used is different than the normal fiber cables use in office / data-center.... so donno laa if can modd the guy or not.... do some google and found out the fiber cable use is single mode rather than dual mode.....

so i
ll wait until saturday n see how it goes..... thanks....

i dunno about the BTU, but my one also keep rebooting itself on the first 3 days unifi installed, then went stable after that

not sure if TM still doing sumthing with the connection on early stage of our installation...

btw, i think they do a lot of maintenance every nite after midnight huh? found oftenly the speed drop till "terrible" 512kbps on 3 till 5 a.m
*
i see.... thanks for the update.... but i think mines its worst.... i leave the BTU on last nite....while it keeps rebooting.... n this morning i realized its already dead......aisehhh.... not even a power signal on the unit.....

has anyone experience this kinda problem before ? this is only my second day ..... cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif
