RM 3 per channel per month?
I'm sold! I terminated my Astro for precisely the reason stated above:
I have to subscribe to a BUNCH of channels just to watch something I WANT. Sure, the counter argument is that with Astro you are bound to catch something you like on at least one channel if you channel surf, but as a working adult and parent, if I'm using Astro just to watch news (on tv3) once a day, I feel like it's a waste.
So far, I tend to watch a LOT of Universal and Warner. My wife likes BBC Lifestyle. So if the rumors are true and TM will charge RM 3 per channel per month, I spend an extra RM 9 per month and don't feel like I'm obligated to pay RM 55 just for clearer TV3 and (sometimes) discovery.
Of course, the fact we can watch when it rains is also a bonus...
