hi all,
can anyone share the backup n restore method?

my backup n restore is not working at all. i backup my phone using titanium backup. i run the batch "Backup all user apps + system data" and i also has appbrain install. Before the rom flash, i copy all my data from SD card to pc.
After flash the rom, i copy back the data to SD card and then install titanium backup from market. After that i run the batch "Restore missing apps + all system data".

the result is not what i expected, a lot of application not able to installed with no error n some with package error. All my shortcut and widgets also not being restore.

now i plan to reflash back my phone because i try factory reset and it not working tongue.gif

i think so lo...because i always use that to copy the 2 files into SD root then only install clockwork. then thing screw up and not able to start clockwork.

just now lunch time, able to up the phone with 2.3 smile.gif but forget to copy my titanium backup, so nothing can be done now.

what i did was format sd card and create partition with GPARTED-LIVE, then task29->magdlr 1.12 -> copy 2 clockwork files and rafdroid 2.3 zip into SD using cardreader -> clockwork installation -> rom installation -> done.

didnt know that clockwork can do partition tongue.gif everyday learn new thing tongue.gif

just installed n try gingerbread build on my hd2. the rom i using is [23.FEB][DFT/CWM] NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.2 [Android2.3.2][Kernel: tytung_r6_oldcam] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060

overall it a lot smooth than the sense build and the rom size is small.
below are some alternative applications i use to replace the sense.

weather - beautiful widget
dialer - dialer one (the nexus one dialer dont auto match when u press the number)
contact picture - SyncMyPic (able to sync facebook profile picture to contact)
sense - LauncherPro
People - People widget from LauncherPro
Calendar - Calendar widget from LauncherPro
Power Control - Extended Control to get more toggle

outlook appointment sync can use MyPhoneExplorer, so far this is the best outlook sync program i found as it able to sync all the recursive appointment in the outlook calendar

So far battery drain is ok and gps locking also fast.

here is something not so nice
- cant find a gps toggle switch, most of it when u press it then will open the setting page for u to enable/disable it
- mobile data toggle switch mostly use rename apn method to enable/disable. this mean before u use the switch, u need to always connect to ur mobile network first
- more to discover if has.......

Been using Rafdroid HD for awhile and starting to get bored with the slow speed again.. I am thinking of Gingerbread-ing again!

eNCore, remind me again what is so nice of Sense? Because per daily use I am finding less and less purpose of using Sense! I do want to have FB picture sync to Gingerbread, not sure if it is workable though..

Jackson,
u can try the SyncMyPic.it can sync fb profile picture to contact. But need to disable the Google contact sync beuse after u sync to Google. Then the pic will become blur

Alright. Gonna give DZ v3.4 a try now then. Any additional fix to apply? What what init4.1 or init4.2?

How to go full NAND? by removing everything from the config? It is very confusing.. He might be a good dev, but he got a horrible sense of tidying and organizing things up.. LOL

Anyway, flashing right now!

fully agreed...his rom installation is very hard to understand.
now it seem like he has new "tech" on his rom that make me want to try out.
anyone already try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913597 ?

the formatting with ext4 size 1g already taken ~25mins but still not complete... >.< how come....

i really dont like formatting the sd card. normally that is the part taking most of the time. the full erase format already very long d, then now come the ext4 format...

i think u go to the wrong setting..
u need to add one is call Access Point Names not VPN setting.
u can find them at
1) Home -> Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Points Name

enCORe,
maybe u can help to write a simple step by step to install the DL Desire ROM smile.gif

i wondering can i use ext3 instead of ext4 when using the DL Desire Rom?
because formatng the ext3 with Minitool Home Partition is a lot faster.

can AESUS Master partition format ext4?
