the irony is I charged my phone fully by 12pm before I sleep. and the battery drains to the last drop by 8am before the 3rd alarm I've set on 9am. This is annoying because sometimes it can't even make it to 7am.

like I've mentioned before, i've tried everything to save battery. how can it drains battery even when it's idle. now it sounds like voodoo is the culprit.

2.) use bgoog.com for homepage.
3.) disable vibrate feedback for UI.
4.) disable sync
5.) disable GPS while indoor.
6.) killed background apps.
7.) put screen under lowest brightness.

I'm going to try to flash the original firmware later.

You must have left your 3G/Wifi running, it's not possible to drain battery that fast.

Try my battery calibration method posted pages ago

Kill processes with advanced task killer too... don't believe in those Android system management crap, I tried not killing any task and in the end my phone became much more power hungry

I've already stated before this. I've turned off everything. tried even the airplane mode.

the last thing i can try is the original firmware.

btw, anything wrong with the freeversion of juicedefender?

i've observed that papago consumes battery even I haven't start launching it yet.
I've just uninstalled papago and give it a try.
so far already 40mins since full charge and only dropped 2% so far.
i'll keep reporting.

suspecion for the papago battery drain could be real.
i'm on nearly 6 1/2 hours now and the battery is about 69% at the moment.

as for the gaming argument. I can say things might change since EA has officially announced that they will be supporting android games.
graphically, u can't blame the galaxy s for not having much highend games to play with. it's still have to rely on the game developers who's going to develop games for android.
Android has got many variations of hardware at the moment. in order to be secure with the potential buyers, they have to lower the specification for the game dev as much as possible to secure as much sales as possible for the android platform.

Guys.
SGS can create folders in the home screen.
I've been doing that all along.
this is what i like most about the phone. I've been creating folders for most of the apps.

just press and hold on home screen and u'll see option to create folders.
