Just submit form 1 hour ago then coming this Thursday come install. Really superb fast.

I register thru Maxis CS. Then sat Maxis Home department call me & email form to me. Today 1pm++ sent form to them. After 1 hour ++ installation department call me date come install.

Got a call earlier in the afternoon. They gonna come over and install on the 28th! Yeay!!! Submitted through DrPitchard on Monday (4/6). I was expecting to wait longer but very thankful all the same. Thanks DrPitchard!

I got a question to ask, I read the T&C or something on Maxis' website and found that they require a PC with a CD-ROM. Could anyone tell me why is that needed? They need to install drivers or something?

still have not received call from Maxis yet after 10 days. Hopefully they didn't lose my form

just had my FTTH installed, opted for the promotional 10mb line. preliminary tests show that its hovering around 9.3mb down and 5.5mb up.

big problem is the torrents won't work. it gets stuck at 'waiting to download'. did some research before calling maxis so that at least i know when they're trying to bs me.

so yeah the technical guy was quite friendly. he says maxis doesn't block torrents and  they need to assign a 'public-facing ip' to my service because at the moment it's on private mode. Fingers crossed i can get this resolved in the next 3-4 hours.

Weird, I had zero problems with torrents when I was on private mode myself.

FYI, change of FTTH VOIP phone number is allowed after installation has been completed.

its weird... my speed test to local and oversea server that affected. ping for local server is around 190ms-235ms and speedtest is around 2.3Mbps-4.5Mbps... for oversea server ping can go as high 500ms and speed test is below 1Mbps..

BUT my torrent, video streaming and direct download not affected at all... I tested it all this morning...   

local server ping 190 - 235 ms? so high? did you test ping using speedtest? i think it should be below 10ms within malaysia? anyway my maxis mobile broadband 3g, ping time only 55 - 65ms. i think fiber should more lower than 3g, right?

Same issue and only happen this morning. Previously all fine.
Will again tonight or tomorrow, if same then report maxis.

Torrent speed slightly impacted.

Im also having really high pings since yesterday. Just got it last week and was fine until yesterday.
I shall call Maxis and see whats going on

Call already. Assigned case number and say call back in about 2 hours.
Never call back until now. Later call again or 2moro morning.

how bout your ping/dl to local server such as P1/TM etc?
and to Singapore too..
mine seem got problem already
ping 200+ms when play using SG server..
last week ~48ms

i email them requesting public ip
hope things will be different afterward
yet to test using ping-plotter where it's actually routing

downloading no problem still got full speed. now have a problem with high ping with local and singapore server.
international ok I guess.

mine Japan ping is lower than local

try d/l or ping other server such as TM or P1
they're using other routing than TM?
