I switch off my modems when I am not at home. Anyone of you have experience that when you switch on the Thomson modem, you have to wait for at least 10 minutes before it is up and configured itself properly?

Everytime I on the Thomson maxis modem, I have to wait for at least 10 mins before I can use the connection. The TM Modem on the other hand, is up within seconds.

Until now I never off my Thomson. But during installation, Maxis contractor told me Thomson need at least 5mins to up, look like this is the known issue. smile.gif

what i learnt is, u dont have to keep restarting it, just wait for it for a few more minutes, I would say at least 8 minutes!

ok, so i take it as it is  normal to wait for Thomson modem ... but I plan to change the modem, i dont plan to wait 10 minutes every time!

Thanks all for the replies.  thumbup.gif

Wait for modem long up time, better than the modem auto restart many times in hr, many forumers facing this already. tongue.gif

Terminate your normal Streamyx or Unifi?

Streamyx is using copper, I terminate my Streamyx after Home Fiber installed.

If using Unifi then maybe problem.

2.  Additional Minutes on Maxis Mobile : 150 Mintues..

I'm blurr sotong, please enlighten, anybody? Dr. P?

Just my guess ya, someone correct me if wrong.

1. Calls to maxis Mobile : 600 Minutes (Is you have 600 Minutes free call from your VOIP phone to any other Maxis mobile phone.)
2. Additional Minutes on Maxis Mobile : 150 Mintues.. (Additional 150Minutes given to your existing Maxis Mobile number, is number that you registered for you Home Fiber)
