Looks like the latency of Maxis Fiber service to Singapore,Seoul and US is 40% lower than my Unifi VIP20(direct fiber connection).Maxis uses the same fiber infra but a different gateway?!

Same infrastructure but better routing can make a hell of a difference.

I hope Maxis extends this promotion for another month. Than surely will put a lot of pressure on TM. Between Maxis and TM is not about having just enough subscribers....it's about being no 1 in market share. In the end consumers win.

juz wanna enquire existing Maxis FTTH users..i juz installed the 10mb (RM118) package earlier today..
somehow i encounter slow download using torrent, around 100kb per second tops, and sumtimes the speed drops to <50kb per second..
i hv tried downloading various kinds of files, but the result still the same..is there any setting that i can do to improve on this?..bcoz i supose that i shud be getting around 1mb per second if i'm not mistaken..

another thing is that when i used this connection on my PS3, "The router in use may not support IP fragments, and the communication features of some games may be restricted." appears on my PS3 network settings screen..
i tried to play online and somehow i didn't feel any improvement to the online experience(still laggy) compared to streamyx 1mb which i used before..
hoping that maybe a Maxis FTTH PS3 user can enlighten me in this issue as well..

btw this is my speedtest result..

There is a reason why before every torrent they would state the number or seeders and leechers. Normally people would limit upload speeds to some degree. So it really depends on how many people are getting the file. If u are using utorrent, look at health (full bar) and seed/peer ratio. the higher the merrier unless there is a Malaysian as one of your peers smile.gif

Your speed is awesome. You will be getting 1.3MB/s downloads if it is a direct download.
