Australia uses ADSL2+ for their 24mbps+ speeds on copper lines. govt just wants to up their international status by implementing FTTH as early as possible even if with low speeds at the cost of consumers.
our 4mbps....thanks to our awesome telephone line infrastructure is limited because TM only has a selected amount of bandwidth that they can provide for the public & corporate sectors.
unifail takes some load off the previously 'rich' 4mbps copper line users to move over to FTTH backbone i guess?

Just got my first VIP10 bill.... Still got till June so I can wait see if TM counter back with price slash/speed boosts. If not then I'll break the contract and make the switch. The RM500 get back in 5 months lol and the IPTV is useless anyway.
Anyone know if current UniFi setup can be used for this? I mean the fibre optic lines etc. Or will the TM guys come and remove all the cabling and we have to relay the wires? O_o

So, new FTTH subscribers. Reviews on the 10Mb service? Just got my VIP10 and already thinking of breaking the contract. Same speed for RM100 less is too tempting already. Torrents? Games? Compared to Unifi?
