today at 1 utama got maxis hsbb promotions. this is what i got

1) uncap till end of the year
2) next month or early next year got iptv
3) if capped, speed reduced by 50% (some says 10%???) until end of the month
4) free calls, etc
5) 2 yrs contract and if terminate early need to pay remaining balance

i want to ask something

1) can we set the dns to 8.8.8.4 in order to access to the blocked "ahem" sites?
2) can play online games? (i saw someone posted cannot online games?)
3) how stable is the line anyway? got frequent interruptions? (that sales guy says all customer satisfied. no one complain. hard to believe)
4) the sales guy says for landed, each port only shared by 2 home which makes it more stable. can anyone confirmed?

Summary : Maxis provides one of the worst customer service I had ever experience. Broken promises at least 5 times and till now still in limbo what to do next

I installed Maxis 4mbps package about 1 mth back through their employee referral program (my sis works in maxis)

before installation was done, suddenly maxis came up with the 10mbps package and i quickly double confirm with my sis if i need to cancel my 4mbps and apply 10mbps fresh or get the 4mbps first and then upgrade later. My sis check with the PIC and said install first and upgrade later

ok, so i go along with it. after installation, called CS about this and get a case no. CS told me to go to Maxis centre to submit the form to upgrade and I duly do so in E-Curve centre

waited and waited, still nothing. after about 2 weeks, called back CS and they said will complete the upgrade in 1 week

waited 1 week, still nothing.

called back CS and she promised no matter what (either good or bad news), someone from e-Curve will call me that day

waited, till next morning, nobody called

call again CS to complain and they check with e-curve and feedback got technical or some mumbo jumbo issue, not sure when can complete the upgrade. I told them I won't give them a "blank cheque". they must give me a deadline that they will fulfill. the CS told me someone WILL call me the next day about it

waited the next day (and not surprisingly), nobody called

again, i call the CS ....

Note : The next few steps just repeat call CS, promise call back, never call me, i call back CS to complain ....

i don't think they will do that becuz I already submitted the form for 118 package during promotion period.

anyway, if they really do that, they (my sis included) is going to get hell from me

I told my sis already that i have no issue to cancel my 4 mbps before installation through the employee referral program and apply fresh (which means i have to wait again). My sis says can upgrade later and she said got black and white email from the PIC. So I trust them lor

P.S. I got total 3 months subscription fee waived due to another incident

finally maxis called.

they will offer me additional 3 months subscription waiver

Grievance allowance . They pay for the pain I go through

2 months installation grievance, 1 month upgrade grievance
