I had the same problem as you. Nothing to do with a battery fault. Were you hooked up to wifi? You need to turn off the Notification's as that would automatically keep you hooked up by wifi or 3g thereby draining your battery.how to proof the battery is faulty?
If you want to save more battery then turn off the 3g as well.
