the call quality of iP4 is worse than HD2... the other end sounds too "deep/bass".

QUOTE(levanter @ Nov 7 2010, 07:54 PM) My personal choice in ranking:1. Fring (WiFi & 3G compatible. Cross-platforms supported) 2. iMovicha (WiFi & 3G compatible. Cross-platforms supported) 3. YM (WiFi & 3G compatible. Cross-platforms limited) 4. Tango 5. Qik 6. Knocking But all the above are as lag/echo as FaceTime. Check their website to see which ones supported Nokia model. Remember, Symbian has many variants. Check carefully. This post has been edited by dgtel2: Nov 7 2010, 08:18 PM |

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Nov 7 2010, 09:00 PM) could it be the lag is due to your slow 3G connection ? I have been using Tango over 3G and it seems pretty smooth. btw i'm on 7.2mpbs 3G with 12GB of data. In this case, if both parties have excellent 3G connections, smooth video call is anticipated. But if either one party does not have good 3G speed, it will be choppy/lag.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ExNsia_BIY or as good as this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atvIHIVfmgM&NR=1 or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb012QzNm8Y I've been studying and following the development of Video Calling since like 5 years ago...(though it was introduced way before that... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Videophone ). Until today, none of the apps are able to conquer the choppy quality of the videos. I do not prefer Tango as it does not have IM function like Fring. Still, I keep it as my iPhone apps. iMovicha is more flexible as it supports video calling from Windows XP/VISTA/7 desktop to any iPhone/Symbian/WM/Android phones. As Skype does not support video calling thru iPhones and other phones, it will die soon... Back to TS, Tango is not compatible with Nokia (unless Nokia model that supports Android...any?).
