Hello forumers. Ive sent my 3gs to the same shop to update my OS where i bought the phone itself. Honestly im newbie at iphone but one of my friend said to update my phone's OS as it is 3.1.2 which he said is old when i bought it last week. And thus, the shop updated my phone to 4.1 and as a result, my phone is now locked and i can't use any sim card on it. Obviously this pissed me off and the salesperson simply said '' u didnt tell me which OS to update so i simply update to the latest one loh '' im begging for the help of any forumers here as to how i can solve this problem and use my iphone again before ill head to the shop with the big daddy if no other ways can be taken. If by any means this topic can't be discuss here or anywhere else in this forum due to certain reasons, anyone who knows how to solve this pls kindly pm me. Thank you.

my 3gs is working fine as an ipod touch. i just cant do any calls or text at the moment. is it possible to downgrade from 4.1 to 4.0.1 so i can use my sim again? is there any news when is the unlocking tools for 4.1 going to come out?

Thus, if they know its a US set why would they even bother to upgrade it. I know i asked for it, but for a reasonable man with proper knowledge in phones they shouldve stopped me then. I didnt know its a US set.They said it's a simfree phone. I didnt bother to check as I don't even know how to differentiate between a locked and simfree set. I guess i got scammed. Going back to the shop soon. |

ill choose no 3, he wanted to charge me 80 bucks for screwing my phone. i just grab my phone n walk away with a screwed phone. hah.

guys im having this problem whereby my 3gs would automatically restart every 3-4mins after i play or start any application. with internet and without internet. itll suddenly go blank and the apple icon shows up seconds later and then itll go to the icon screen again. phone only 2 weeks old -.-. ios 4.1, bb 05.14.02. pls help. thnkx,
