looks like you might have bought yourself an Anti-Glare screen protector, based on the description. You might want to spend a bit more for the best of the best, which is Power Support. It will set you back RM89 for two pieces, but i can assure you it is money well spent. Ask the other forummers here. Most of them use it.

this IS a public forum. And even though DG73 choose to make your "compilations" public or not, hundreds, if not thousands of LYNtians have read your posts. It is thanks to folks like you that DG73 has to be a lecturer to make others understand that this is not just a "free forum", this is a place where people converge to share useful, and accurate information with others.

Power Support is the brand. If you drop by any Machines outlets,
ask the sales staff there and they will show it to you.
It comes in a green pack. It's unmistakably recognizable.

It happens because 3G is turned off. Notice that if you are on EDGE, (when an E is displayed beside your carrier) you can't make a call and load Safari at the same time. This also applies to your issue.. You can't send a text and receive data at the same time. Hence, the error message appears.

what sort of search are you doing?
if it is Spotlight search, (to the left of home screen)
navigate to Settings > General > Home > Search Results
and untick whatever results you do not want appearing on Spotlight.
this reduces lag by a lot. i only have Applications ticked,
and it makes my iPhone 3G run faster overall.
