I am glad there is major improvement to the white balance under incandescent lighting. However the greenish blue splotch still remains!

QUOTE(redzafahmy @ Sep 25 2010, 09:23 PM) Hey guys. I've been scouring the thread for proximity issues but i seriously can't find any. To be honest i haven't read the whole thread coz i'm using my iphone right now. Hope the mods won't mind. Anyways, i am unlucky enough to be having issues with my proximity sensor. Anyone else has this problem? Should i ask fot a replacement with maxis? Thanks for the input Are you using version 4.1? If not please update first and test it again. It is supposed to solve this problem. |

QUOTE(fuiyo @ Sep 25 2010, 09:36 PM) Lesson 1: Do not turn on the volume to the maximum when playing music using the speaker. The speaker quality will show a slight decrease after approximately 10 months. It is always good to turn your volume several notches below max. This will preserve your speaker lifespan |

I think each version of iOS has its own bugs. But I find iOS4.1 quite stable to my liking. Afterall isnt that the purpose of an updated software? To iron out bugs in previous version.

For those who are so concerned with signal attenuation, please chill. Because even with one bar, I manage to make a call with no issue at all.
If you are still no convinced, please get a case to protect your iphone 4. Remember it is not entirely scratch resistant. I recommend Switcheasy case which fits perfectly to your new device and gives very firm hold. I have tried 4 different cases (1 from Amazon and 3 officially from Apple but nothing can compare to Switcheasy). Just my two cents. |

QUOTE(CloudKee @ Sep 26 2010, 06:29 PM) Hmmm..... Share with you all.. Your safest bet during upgrade will be to use window 7/window xp loaded computer. Be sure to get the latest itune before doing so. I have seen several ppl facing problem with window vista (I myself was one of them)My iPhone 4 is SG set, 1.) I don`t have any antenna issue so fat, even I death grip it, the signal will not drop to zero, it will remain 1,2 bars. If I hold it right, it`s 4, 5 bars. Today I went Quill Automobiles BMW and get a OZAKI ICoat which cost me RM70. The signal problem totally solved. 2.) My screen don`t have any yellowish tint, even I tried view FULL WHITE wallpaper. 3.) I am running 4.0.2, so far I don`t get any bug yet, or maybe I haven`t try it out. I wonder should I upgrade it to 4.1 through iTunes, because I saw a few of you get bricked or stuck. Any suggestion? |

QUOTE(CloudKee @ Sep 26 2010, 06:43 PM) Thanks bro It's fine. I manage to restore it using a window 7 loaded laptop. The HDR effect really depends on the lighting condition. For an outdoor shot, especially under a bright sunlight, HDR can help you to dim the over exposure and enhanced the photo details but it tends to lower your color saturation. IP4 will save both pictures so you can choose either one. If I do, I will upgrade it through my laptop which running Window 7 HP and latest iTunes. Really feel sorry to you. So yours is get stuck? and going to get a replacement? Beside, is there any new features with 4.1? anyone can show the HDR effect? I don't think HDR works well for all shots but I think it is pretty handy since it is does an automated correction to your picture (which of course doesn't always appear to be what you want). |

QUOTE(poex @ Sep 26 2010, 07:29 PM) Well, it might not scratch as easily as normal glass but it isn't scratch resistant. Google around and you will find how people complain about scratching their IP4.That is why I have back and front protectors all the time just to be extremely sure. Afterall, it is worth to be extra careful with your new found joy! |

QUOTE(sicklad77 @ Sep 26 2010, 07:46 PM) i recommend the crystal clear SP by powersupport honestly. Yes, I don't really prefer anti-glare SP since it will 'obscure' your screen making your retinal display looking rather 3gs like (sorry not saying 3gs is inferior). when i first got the iphone 4 i straight opt for the cygnett opticclear anti-glare SP. it's good for playing games and all and has the matte feeling but i don't get to really feel the retina display cause it kinda deteriorate it when lowered the brightness compare from the crystal clear . switch to crystal clear and the crisp of the display is just much better. the crystal clear is definately for me i recommend. but at the end of the day it is still the user preferences If you buy switcheasy case, they will give you free high quality SP. Most cases you buy from ebay will give you free SP too. So guys, trust me, it's worth the extra bucks just to keep your IP4 at its pristine state. |

QUOTE(KoYuKii @ Sep 26 2010, 07:58 PM) i was about to ask the quality if apply anti-glare SP. thanks for all the review. any recommanded crystal clear sp for intro? coz i got myself a cheapo SP form some random h/p shop. it wun stick on my screen left some bubble on the top n bottom right corner of the screen. You should adjust the SP to get it to the center or else bubbles will pop out by the sides. I experienced that b4 and tried adjusting it to the center. Now be very careful while u remove it as u dont want dust to be trapped in it. Do it in an air cond room. If dust does get trapped, use a cellotape and tape it out slowly. |
