Which mean if I dont wanna top up, I will forever stick with lvl 65? What's the max level btw?
*
One thing I like about LOTRO is that it is one of the few F2P games i know where you really do not need to spend money to play up to max level. You can earn turbine points in the games to unlock access to certain facilities/quests or you can use real money to buy said points.

In terms of free content you can comfortably quest up to level 30ish. from there onwards the higher level zones would require you to 'buy' quest packs with Turbine Points which would give you access to the quests. You csn go to any zone a paying customer can. Doing quests is one of the best ways to level up and gain items, akternatively you can literally grind your way up to max level (currently lvl 65 but will be increased to 75 when the expansion Isengard comes out)

Thanks for the update!

The huge download size for the game can put people off (over 9gigs). I'd be happyto copy the game to anyone in Kuching. Just send me a message on here and maybe we can meet up somewhere. Just bring along an external drive big enough for the game, heh.

i'm playing in dwarrowdelf server.. a LM.. drop by in dwarrow sometime.. creep or freep biggrin.gif
btw... anyone knows where/how to buy RoI expansion? i don't have CC or paypal
*
As far as I know the only way to buy it is through Turbine's website (that's where I purchased it). Haven't been playing the last two week as I busted my motherboard. Only had it replaced a couple of days ago and not had time to sort everything out yet..bleh. Might drop in dwarrowdelf on a quiet night, what's your IGN?

Where do we add our stats upon levelling up? ( cant seem to click any of the stats to increase it) hmm.gif
*
You don't. The stats are based on your race/class and goes up accordingly to your class. For example, a hunter's agility increase by 2 every level, whereas a Guardian's vitality increases by 2 every level.

btw, would like to seek assistance  icon_question.gif  as i'm kind of a noob when it comes to MMORPGs. currently have around 100+Tp. any advise on what i should spend on?

have a question though, if i were to get the Legendary edition of ROI, will that make me a VIP member?
*
Spending any real money on the game will only promote you to a Premium member. To become a VIP member you need to actually subscribe to a monthly plan. In some games buying an expansion could net you free game time, but sadly in this case there is no VIP status with ROI.

As for spending your TP, I'd save up for a quest pack. Evendim would be the best one to buy when you get to around 30. It is also a good idea to just save up for TP and only spend them when there is a sale (which happens fairly often) which would save you between 20-30% at a time, sometimes even 50%.

Other things you might want to spend on would be the ability to ride a mount, gold cap, skirmish packs and skirmish limits.

Ahh, i see, will check it out later. Got jealous of both of your mounts last night. tongue.gif

Crap, forgot to take screenies during the GB. doh.gif

EDIT: Ok found the store. Now, contemplating between the 3 choice.
*
If you are new to the game the Legendary Edition is the one that gives you the most bang for your buck. You get all 3 mounts, costumes, XP item, but most importantly all the quest pack you will ever require happy.gif

@banks: hey come and join our new Kins "Adventurer of Eriandor" (AoE)
*
Just an observation since the Kinship is still new... Shouldn't it be Adventurers of Eriandor. Else it sounds like there's only one of you tongue.gif

Any particular classes/vocations you are short on? Can roll a char there during my free time happy.gif

Looks like you guys need a healer more tanks now as you have two wardens joining? I'll roll one later tonight. Hmm...now which would be better, Minstrel or Runekeeper? Doubt a captain would be able to keep up with any hectic heals unsure.gif

Will roll a historian to go with it. Hmm would be virtually identical to my minst on Laurelin, heh.

Hmmm..just read the lotro forums...looks like they are taking down the servers for RoI so might not be on tonight sad.gif

Btw, I have a 50 minstrel. But we will probably need one at the lower lvls.
If that's the case I can always roll a RK instead.

QUOTE(gaeryn @ Sep 29 2011, 10:38 AM)
LOTRO runs fine on my laptop with Windows 7 64-bit.

But at home, my PC (Vista 64-bit) encounters freezes/crashes at random times.
It seems to be a common issue.
*
Sad to say, Windows 7 is what Vista should have been. I still feel cheated after shelling out for a Vista Ultimate a few years back sad.gif

Now running one Win7 32-bit. One thing I noticed though after replacing my motherboard and starting with a new install, Lotro always freezes for a few seconds everytime I plug in a USB device :S

Anyway, got my RK to 17 last night. Should hopefully get it to 20 tonight to join you guys for any skirmishes etc. Can't wait to get a mount at that level too...I hate running tongue.gif Wasn't as bad on my Hunter and Warden (my two most played classes), but I feel the slowness on a sub 20 with no run speed/mount...blah...

See you all tonight! (Around nine ish)

sorry tongue.gif havent really socialise in-game.. hahaha

Added on October 5, 2011, 4:05 pmIs this correct? o.O who is Aidongua?
32. gaeryn (Laerylle)
33. mad_geist (Wujian)
34. Mav3rick (Ferirond)
35. Snowfire64 (Aervenhad)
*
We really should comply a list somewhere on who's who and class etc. Makes it easier for reference, hehe. We should also have some sort of regular games night maybe? Once a week where we all gather and just do one instance/skirmish together.

P/S we still need healers, I'm not confident healing as an RK yet tongue.gif The last time I grouped up it was faster for me to dps with the fellowship than to heal in the long run tongue.gif

Hey guys. Am back in Malaysia now, however I will need some time to get over the jet lag. C u guys soon!
*
Welcome back! I've been slowing down on levelling my RK (did not want to have a healer too high a level compared to the rest) so have rolled a minstrel and guardian..got carried away with the guardian so it's now level 21 tongue.gif still needs an invite to the kinship though as everytime I searched for kinnies none were around over the last 2 days or so sad.gif

Haha! Was a fun run rclxms.gif

Nothing quite like a post victory smoke after a good run. Shame they kicked us out of the skirmish mid smoke, heh. Looking forward to more runs. Got my guardian to 32 this morning before work tongue.gif

just started play LOTRO few day ago,
got a few question,
is it really hard playing as free user ?
why i seldom see anyone else, right now my base at Combe
sometime feel like playing an offline game sad.gif
*
Which server are you on? Some servers can be quite small population wise. Why not join us on Elendilmir. Alternatively you can join a kin, preferably one with the same time zone. Sadly the game can easily be soloed to 75 without any grouping, though the more rewarding/fun quests/instances need to be done in a fellowship. You can contact at Adventurers of Eriador members for an invite to the kin if you're on Elendilmir.

pretty enjoyable indeed!!! the CJs attempts were really funny though biggrin.gif we kept screwing up initially, our dwarf tank was getting pretty pissed biggrin.gif but towards the end.. FUHHH!!! Perfect!! biggrin.gif

Anyways.. hopefully we can do one tonight.. maybe without our steamroller.. see if we can survive it or not tongue.gif
*
lol. I wasn't pissed lah...just a bit annoyed. I always seem to have another mob targetted when the CJ is up so I have to press the button once to initiate the CJ first, by the time I did that someone already pressed Yellow like a fraction of a second before me...gah!

Servers are down till ten tonight though sad.gif so won't be on till then.

Still not sure on certain craft component and ingot prices. Just yesterday, sell 100 barrow iron ingots for 350s. And when can f2ps start trading using money? when we first buy vip/tp?
*
I'd usually to a search on the item I sell and sell it just below the lowest asking price tongue.gif
