I recently entered into a transaction to purchase some audio equipment from an US online retailer as my sister was holidaying in the States. However, due to complications, the items failed to arrive in time for her departure. As such, my equipment is currently situated at a friend's place in the States and I am left very frustrated.

I have obtained online quotes from UPS and FeDex, only to be put off by their exorbitant rates; I am being quoted in excess of USD130 for an item weighing 1.8kg, and worth around USD350.

Could any of you gurus please point me in the right direction? I am reluctant to spend virtually half of the cost of the item on shipping, as this would completely nullify the purchase in the first place. From google, I have put up a posting on CHAKKR, but would like to get advice from anyone with experience.

Thank you in advance!

dude just use USPS, united states postal service.

if ur item can fit in their pre fixed size box (max 4 pounds) then it will cost about 13USD. A bit bigger and up to 20 pounds about 42USD.
