Your hands are quite steady.

But at 0.05 sec (1/20) 155mm focal length, it's a bit harder to get a sharper focus unless you mount it on a tripod.

The depth-of-field looked gorgeous, but the flower is slightly out of focus. Would be more interesting if has clearer focus. laugh.gif

I'm really amazed by Celciuz pics.

The sharp focus is very enticing, btw.

Any tips for better focusing techniques? notworthy.gif

How do you focus at the moment? Area mode? or single point?
*
At the moment i relied a lot on single point af. Sometimes if lighting condition doesn't permit, i need to rely on manual, which i'm still trying to improve. When there's too shallow depth of field, my manual focus is going to be bad.

I like the second one. My eyes were directed to the lights straight away before checking the beach. Where is this place?

Tried it once at a shop. I was told it works best / sharpest btwn 70-200mm. Quite a good one. Market price should be around 1.9k - 2k.
*
I was wondering what makes it not sharp for 200mm above? Is it because of the distortion from the lens itself?

*
Capture their emotions, candids, and some unexpected moments during that event.

Oh, remember to set your D90 to "machinegan" mode when capturing the graduands throwing their caps (mortarboard) and use the best pics. You're good to go. laugh.gif

Guys, I'm interested to buy a D90. Does Nikon Centre and BTS provide instalment plan by credit card?
*
I think Nikon Center is not selling cameras and gears. They are just showrooms.

I did the same thing like you. Thought they were selling, then the staffs at Nikon center BTS mentioned they are not selling, and recommended me a few camera shops instead, lol

But the price there usually has been marked-up, you may want to check out a few camera shops around Klang Valley for the best bargains.

hello...need to ask sifus opinion..

which one is better, a prime lens or a zoom lens to shoot an event....it's an outdoor event, at night
*
pros and cons

Prime lens for clarity, zoom lens for capturing candid moments from a far when people doesn't notice you to get natural expressions.

I'm planning to use my friend's SB600.....
What do you mean by fast lens??
sorry i'm noob...
*
Fast lens means those lens with lesser optical elements (e.g. prime lens with fixed focal length- 35mm, 50mm, 85mm prime, etc). So light travels faster to your cam sensor, hence more light is being captured.

P/S: Love the Speedlight SB-600 thumbup.gif

It's useless, except for triggering wireless flash (Oh well, i off it as well).
External flash can bounce to top, left, right and even back. Can diffuse some more.
*
Unfortunately, some people still point blank their external flash to the subject, and did it like the built-in flash. Which defeats the purpose of buying the external flash. tongue.gif

Or any valid reason to do so? (point blank the flash?)
