Still just wondering why the d90 replacement is called thr d7000 instead of d95 or something. D7000 jus sounds like upgrade of d7000. Then replacement of d300s would be called d9000 in the future ?

I'm using both system now..
To be honest, even tho I'm using d90 like 70% of the time I have to admint Alpha's Fn (function) button is the most friendliest thing that a SLR need..
Just press the Fn button and there lies the WB, AF, etc etc
Unlike d90.have shorcut for each function, thus a bit different kind of user friendly..
Its like going to wal-mart to buy a saw and dog food rather than going to 2 different shops..

Anyway, u should get ur hand on something similar to d90 then it'll only be fair as a comparison..
Try it with a550 or a700 then can compare to d90 hehe.. Coz a300/a380 is like d5000 so ofcoz function wise, its tad different..

Ohya the d7000 isn't an upgrade from any model, neither d90 nor d5000 because they use a new sensor the Exceed 2 so its not fair to say its an upgrade from any particular model..
The shape and color and weight are just (maybe) a coinsidence..
Because u cannot say d7000 is this/that's upgrade in particular because of those quality..
Its not an upgrade, its a successor.. Big difference there
