Guys,

I noticed my D90 Picture output , seems to be a bit weird, let me post a few samples for you guys to view  and i hope you can tell me what you think of it.

To me its

1) Purplish Colour
2) Dull ?

Is it a problem with my settings?Or is it a problem with the Camera???

FYI all pictures posted are unedited (only added the watermark)
Sigh dissapointed in myself. Please comment.

got colorful spotlights around there? especially last pic
definitely WB problm,
if there's colorful spotlights + using flash without color gels, WB can go way wrong

QUOTE(hstan007 @ Oct 24 2010, 12:09 PM)
Hi guys,
thanks much for the tips. Yes, am using F3.5 most of the time during low light as this is the lowest i can go with this lens.
And, yes lower shutter speed always cause more blurring. thts a problem to me as well.
Mostly using ISO 1k++

Btw, any good lens to recommend for good low lighting pic and fast moving objects (for my little boy's pics)

Thanks..
HS

other than lenses, can consider getting external flash smile.gif

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Oct 24 2010, 12:41 PM)
When shooting human portrait, set it to Neutral or Standard Picture Control. Vivid is not meant to be used for shooting human portraits one. The pictures will tend to get too "colourful".
*
u forgot Portrait Picture Control biggrin.gif

Anyone using Nikkor 18-200 VRII? Btw, is it sharper than Tammy 17-50 f2.8? hmm.gif
*
i doubt 18-200 will b sharper than 17-50, but i cant say for sure
but i can confirm above 100mm focal length is soft for 18-200

but actually pics r sharp for both lenses, depends how u define sharp, or whether u pixel peep or nt

Ehh, I seen some bouncing to the back one lor. Kencang! Power man their flash.. must be the prototype SB900[x] or something lol.
*
new rumor of sb900 replacement, with heat spreaders n continuous video light function drool.gif

QUOTE(celciuz @ Oct 25 2010, 04:44 PM)
Body and flash capable of flash sync can do it. D90 + SB900 can go up to 1/4000
LOL, or just get a reflector stand tongue.gif
*
with HS flash sync up to 1/4000?
normal flash sync?

i would love to have 70-200 oso, bt i thk back, how frequent would i use it?
Other than events, i dun nid or hardly use tele range, n its nt practical to carry such big lens during casual outing wif frens
I want to get 24mm to suit my needs instead of greed
Unless u always shoot stage events or always use tele, thk well b4 getting 70-200

Jz an advise to ppl nt to splurge on lenses jz bcos d lens is gud or popular biggrin.gif

Yea even if I have heck lots of cash now I won't be getting 70-200. I might get 24-70 or 16-35 F4. Buy what you need, not just buy what's the best.

But now I'm happy with my 18-105 cuz I don't shoot very frequent due to my university assignments etc... Maybe need another 50mm 1.8 just to cover low light.

BTW anyone going KLPF on sunday?
*
im going on saturday, sunday going to Animangaki instead, u wan go?

QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ Nov 6 2010, 07:15 PM)
Me too doh.gif I seriously think it should be together. At least D90 & D7000. Even the Canon thread are all in one hmm.gif
*
QUOTE(Kiki-Lala @ Nov 6 2010, 07:22 PM)
It's better to merge all the thread together. Sometimes Nikon thread just sorted out too specific and ended up some of the thread ended up dead and deserted.

My 2 cents.
*
this suggestion have been discussed many times b4
it is decided to separate nikon users so they can get suitable answers n help in respective threads
some questions may b ignored or unanswered if thread move too fast, a problm in Canon thread
