I don't know whethert this is the right place.. just try my luck~~

I have the ringtone problem with the N900 when you select a mp3 out of your own albums in the profilemenu it sounds clear, but when you get a incoming call, it sounds strange, a clipping sound.
and how higher the ringtonevolume in the profilemenu, the lower the clipping sound is, but is not completly gone.

Tis problem is also with the standard ringtones/alarmtones but you have to listen very carefully, the reason why you almost don't hear it with the standaard tones is because they lack of bass and beat.

But the problem is also with the standard tones.

Are there more people with this problem and somebody a solution for this problem?

and does this mean that the N900 can't even play a normal mp3 song as a ringtone without Clipping/distortion?

Anyone could help?? Pls pm me!! THX!

confirm dont have. Did u try blasting your N900 with low quality songs before and it spoil the speaker already? or is there many apps running at once.

Have u tried with a 256kbps bitrate song on N900
For speaker output quality can refer here for comparison
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=35997357

I thought u are selling your phone does it matter with this problem?
*
Actually on the 1st day I purchase this phone already like this. An I refer to Nokia website.. I thought all having the same problem... May refer to this link http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/t5/Mae...-bug/m-p/587851

I don't know what is the issue which cause this prob and I never play low quality song before. 320kbps also I run before..

And this is the reason i sell my phone.. I though the N900 speaker hv prob so i plan to sell off..

Anyone can help?

Sound like you got a faulty set. Mine no problem since day 1 its a zitron set. U try record a video and show us to understand this problem to help other users.

If yours is an original set just send for warranty.
*
Mine also is Zitron set..

It just have the sound "plak plak plak" when the ringtone is ring..

But the weird part is~~ if play in the media player.. and the volume run to highest also won't have such "plak plak" sound.. Just the ringtone only.. like as what stated in the Nokia forum, I thought all is the same..

So your suggestion is take back to Nokia center to check?

Its how you utlize it that makes the value not how much you buy and when you sell it

For me Nokia n900 is the most valued investment i ever made. It helps me alot in my work , daily life and social life. Now suddenly become an amazing camera phone.

I cant wait for more  tongue.gif

Ya true.. Like Iphone 3GS, HTC Desire, Motorola Milestone and NOkia N900~~ all had been chosen as the most powerful phone (use to be).. but it really depend on your own requirement and how you utilize the phone..

Just went to NCC One Utama today..

The lady at front counter just make me annoy cause she keep on saying that the technician is havent back so she cant do anythg,

Technician only will come on 1pm (that time is 10am) and she also highlighted that maybe the technician wont come by today.

DON'T know why I paid extra RM400 for Zitron Care service if the service is even worst den an AP services.

Anyone know how to dispute this NCC? lol XD

You cant blame her she is just a staff. Only technician can repair dude. Do you think is fair imagine you are the technician u have emergency or someone but your office keep calling you?
If you wanna compare AP it will be worse and further more its sunday dude If u say weekday then no comment la or you can just call before u go?
*
sigh*** if the technician not coming.. there is no point she open the store. What for? I feel unhappy is because she had a kinda of "I don't know anything.. Don't ask me".. keep on ask me come on another day~~ if tmr i go again and the technician not coming? then I go again another day? XD
