sad to say, WhatsApps will not be available for WP7 anytime soon.
===== "WP7 is missing core address book integration APIs that our application requires" - WhatsApp Inc. CEO Jan Koum "The app (WhatsApp) constantly scans your local address book and compares the phone numbers within to its massive list of users. When someone in your address book has WhatsApp installed on his or her phone, an entry will automatically be added to your WhatsApp contact list. Because Windows Phone 7 does not give apps a way to access and scan the address book, this key functionality would be impossible on the platform" ===== Imagine WhatsApps is integrated into People hub. You will have Outlook contacts, Windows Live contacts, Facebook contacts & WhatsApps contacts. abit too much i think |

Just upgraded from a HD2 to the htc HD7 7.
First impressions were excellent and I agree with the review - smooth, slick, great integration of information souces (FB etc.) and great syncing of Hotmail, Calendar etc. htc HD7 is a nice looking and easy to use handset. My frustrations are: Lack of cut / paste - couldnt forward an email today as I didnt want to forward it all. Automatically loaded ALL my hotmail contact into phone - I dont want 700+ contacts in my phone. No way of limiting it. HD2 uses Windows Mobile 6.5, using MyPhone to backup phone. Cant restore contacts to new WM7 phone. Cant Bluetooth them. Wont receive them as emails. Cant sync with Outlook. Cant store them on a SIM card as many ofthem are too big. So, no way of deleting contacts fro phone without deleting from Hotmail. No way (at present but being looked into by Samsung according to a call recently) of moving my 200+ contacts from HD2 to a WM7 phone. No multi-tasking - shame on you Microsoft. No tethering. Main problem is because our Live ID happens to hold our IM contacts as well, all the phones are doing this now. Apple with their cloud service, Google with GMail integration. Yes, it sucks that ours it's a horrid mess because unlike with apple or google. IM lists tend to have more people we don't really care about.QUOTE(hanissyazwan @ Jan 14 2011, 03:27 AM) HD2 uses Windows Mobile 6.5, using MyPhone to backup phone.
