Same here, updated to 7.8 with no problem; no force update whatsoever. Just plug your usb and connect to zune, and updates will appear (mine underwent 3 updates for the creme de la creme 7.8 tongue.gif ).

Yes mine is hd7 smile.gif

I forced too. Works fine. Although i think after awhile it somehow lags by miliseconds when i tap on tiles before it opens. Negligible though 😄

I think my HD7 is dying, battery life suck to max, off everything (wifi, data, location) and switch on battery saver, standby time also about 10 hours. If on wifi and data, and do some phone calls and sms, the battery can finish within 2 hours. I have hard reset it and changed the battery, the result also the same.
And another more serious thing, the phone cannot restart, once turn it off and want to turn it on, it cannot load windows, the screen appears one phone needs connect to PC, like the screen when updating the phone. I have to keep turn off and turn on again and after many many times, only it can load the OS.
Anyone faced these problems before?

Lol I noticed the update sitting there on CNY, no need force.

Btw even though it takes a little more time to open an app now. They don't have the icon slow load anymore, before the update, you scroll real fast to the bottom(assuming you have many tiles) then you will notice the tiles to be blank and it will take somewhere near to a second before it appears. Now it's doesn't do that anymore, I guess it compensates that with the 1-2 second lag to open an app.

hacking the SDcard and replacing it with a class10 card will help to boost some performance, do check out the thread on "how to" in xda dev.
