I want to buy a nintendo system with pokemon game.

My question is, which model of nintendo console i need to buy in order to get the wifi items that sometimes they offer to catch rare pokemon?

Do i need to buy the US version of the console?

the console would b any DS line up... depending on urs budget... regard ver,it depend which DS u buy... NDSL have no region lock... if u buy NDSi/NDSi LL/3DS,then u have to buy US console to play US ver pokemon...

The version of the DS does not affect event downloads. Only game region does. However there are some special features that are region locked for "DSi Enhanced" games such as Pokemon B&W.

And just like the others said, the region officially assigned to Malaysia for Nintendo console are US version.
