Just bought an R3 copy on sunday and found out it didn't have a pass inside, complained to the shop and the person there didn't believe that a pass is needed to go online

Wanted to show it straight to his face but when the game booted up they didn't have an account and the PS3 firmware wasn't up to date.

Insisted him to check with his supplier and got a half-assed reply to take down my name and contact.

Got the code from the seller after pestering the shop for a few days. Back to being a happy camper

maybe ts should put a post on first page or upper section, warning would be buyers not to get it unless confirmed it comes w/ a code.

i got it on day of release and code was given to me 1 week later. my friend got it 1 month after release and code was celotaped on the cover.

The only thing nice of this game is the online play right ? How about the storyline ? Is there even one ? or is it like MVC3 ?

Mortal Kombat has one of the most solid story-line for a fighting game, you check it up on Wikipedia or Mortal Kombat Wikia. The story for Mortal Kombat is divided in 16 chapters where you play each of Earthrealm's Chosen Warriors (Johhny Cage, Sonya Blade, etc). This is a reboot for the series as you are playing through the original Mortal Kombat Trilogy (You'll understand when you play and complete the game)

Online was pretty busted when the game first came out, not sure bout now. I can't even connect.

On another note, not as imbalance as MVC3. There's no infinite juggles, X-Factor cw or triple Ultras.

You too? I don't know man, ever since the 1.02 patch I could never log in. Can't be an IP block (rumors were they updated it to be Region Lock) since other people still can log on?
