After watching the E3 Stage demo, I couldnt help but feeling like falling in love with the series again. No more vs. blablabla shit.
 Back to itsroots. Basically, the game is trying to emulate MKII, IMHO, the most successful in its series. But by adding new features like the x-ray vision attack thingy, this just seems way too cool to be ignored.  2011 will be the re-birth of Mortal Kombat franchise! do you know what is wrong with this franchise?? the story line.
story lines are not essential in a fighting game. its like having storyline in pron. not needed actually. |

Finally back to Mature rating, nothing like a good old reboot.
I'm playing MK vs DC Universe right now, the Fatalities and Brutalities are lame. I think its was the pressure from DC franchise, that they had to settle with a Teen rating. Yeah but I guess having a "poor" storyline is better than having nothing at all. At least you got to see the "endings" after each Arcade / Story Mode.
 But for me, it is one of the more unique games, perhaps due to its violent nature, along with Killer Instinct (We already got TEKKEN vs. SF, whynot MK vs Killer Instinct, that would awesome!) |

Apparently in a recent interview with Ed Boon, he said there are changes to the game engine compared to the initial demo last year. Can't say I notice anything cause I never touched that. Reasons for changes were to make it more "Kompetative" or tournament worthy.

Don't really care about tournament worthiness since I don't really expect anything like that out of it. Even if it did turn out "tournament worthy", the community might not latch onto it for whatever reason (track record, other games being more viable, etc).
I just hope for the ability to mess around feeling great satisfaction in seeing and feeling the characters beat the crap out of each other. Crazy combo potential is a plus too.  |

I wouldn't know anything bout tournaments myself, its a dead scene when we're talking about Fighting Game Tournaments here in Malaysia. CyberGaming is still not a sport
