What I'm trying to say is, you should never have "Requirements"... When you do, you just get disappointed...

In real life, you don't meet people who exactly meet your requirement... You'll meet people with all kind of characteristics... Some good and some bad... Its how both parties are able to compromise which will influence the length of the relationship...

Even you meet Ms Universe, you think she'll have 100% all of those qualities you seek? Of course not... Sometimes, the qualities or characteristics which we least want, could sometimes be the best thing that ever happened to us...

I won't say whether I agree or disagree with your statements, but I'd like to see how a "typical" cross-section of Malaysian society will respond to this thread.

I agree with all your statements except for the bolded part.
Maybe we won't get wnat we wanted (postitive parts) but we should like hell should NEVER settle for someone who have values(physical/mental/moral) that we hated. When we are in romance/lust mode, those values may seem irrelevant or even cute. But when the honeymoon period is over, you are screwed for life. Cuz you just paid big moolah for sticking the most annoying person by your side for the rest of your life.

That's why gold diggers quickly plead for marriage in around two - three months
That's why smart guys only ask for marriage after one or two years after the lust/romance period is over
