QUOTE(PCcrazy @ Jun 12 2005, 12:43 PM) Oh, IC, because the ones din was selling carries CH5 UTT. But he is selling the VX cheaper than the TwinMos. when i brought the 1st batch of OCZ VX, it was CH5 UTT, and the rated speed on sticker is 7-3-3-2.5but 1 of my customer (remysix) reported that his replacement Value VX from OCZ is now rated 8-4-4-2.5 (on the sticker) maybe that's the sign OCZ has moved to BH5 dies for VX Value ? |

anyone here with DFI NF4 Lanparty board stay around my area (B.B.Bangi)
i would like to come to your house and do some testing on my HyperX BH5.. i know it's a gem, and i would like to know its maximum speed.. currently, with my Athlon XP-M system, it can do.. 240 MHZ @ 11-2-2-2 @ 3.0 VDIMM @ Memtest Passed 250 MHZ @ 11-2-2-2 @ 3.1 VDIMM @ Memtest Passed 255 MHZ @ 11-2-2-2 @ 3.2 VDIMM @ Memtest Passed 260 MHZ @ 11-2-2-2 @ 3.3 VDIMM @ Memtest Passed This post has been edited by dinster: Jun 12 2005, 12:53 PM |

QUOTE(PCcrazy @ Jun 12 2005, 01:06 PM) Cool, is this the one that failed to P.O.S.T with the AI7? nope.. different pair it is.. If I'm not mistaken, it's 256 x 2 right? What about 3.5vdimm? able to scale higher frequency? however that pair is a gem as well.. it can do 255 MHZ @ 3.3 VDIMM @ 11-2-2-2 @ 1T @ Memtest Stable but it sux with my friend's ABIT AI7 yes it's 256mb x 2 forgot to mention that the testing rig was DFI LP NF2, so the max vdimm is 3.3V only.. |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Jun 12 2005, 03:24 PM) a mystery to me as well.. QUOTE(babyelf @ Jun 12 2005, 04:44 PM) din.. those sticks look really good.. too bad i'm not there.. if not i'll test it for u.. plus i got DDR booster now thanks for the info on testing whether it is BH5 or CH5 chips.. OCZ didn't tell me when they did the die change or how to tell a die change.. they just changed it.. the rated speeds does not mean that the die has changed if i'm not mistaken.. it's just that when they test the chips they realised "oh it will run at a tighter speed" and relabled them to those speeds.. if u want i can ask for information about the die change.. one very good test is to test with CAS3 and see whether it boots.. and if it doesn't then it is BH-5 i've seen 2.5-3-3-7 and 2.5-4-4-8 and they perform similar.. so no biggie there yes, we all here would be grateful if u can ask OCZ about the die changing in their VX Value series.. why 8-4-4-2.5 and not 7-3-3-2.5 anymore ? |

![]() OCZ's PC-3500 Gold Gamer eXtreme Series QUOTE OCZ's PC-3500 Gold Gamer eXtreme Series modules are rated to run at 433MHz with CL2 2-2-5 latency settings, which are among the lowest in the industry. While the default voltage of the PC-3500 Gold Gamer eXtreme Series is 2.8V, higher than default voltage of DDR memory, OCZ allows to boost it towards 3.1V without losing the lifetime warranty. full story here.. QUOTE http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/memory/display/20050614173027.html http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memo...gx_dual_channel another BH5 / CH5 based RAM i reckon.. but rated 2-2-2 @ 2.8V only.. while VX is rated 2-2-2 @ 3.2V hopefully it will be in my next bulk.. QUOTE(antonio_zth @ Jun 17 2005, 09:11 AM) so..what r u waiting for din...bring in some OCZ EL DDR PC-5000 Dual Channel Platinum DFI nF4 Special ... mmg dah ada dlm bulk ver 4.0 la..http://www.ocztechnology.com/images/produc...y/b/PlatDC1.jpg OCZ PC-5000 Platinum DFI nF4 series modules are the very best high speed DDR memory available on the market today and offer innovative features that increase performance while providing unsurpassed stability. OCZ Platinum Edition memory modules are rated to handle up to 3.0V without invalidating the OCZ Lifetime Warranty so that performance enthusiasts can tweak their systems without worry. *This product is no longer manufacturered by OCZ Technology Group cuma engko je yg tak order.. QUOTE(babyelf @ Jun 17 2005, 10:07 AM) to be able to bin stuffs to get PC5000 speed is not something that easy.. not many chips will do those speeds for TCC5... and it's pretty obvious that the number of those that can hit those speeds are decreasing.. agree with that ! but if u can afford one it's one of the best ram u can get getting a speed binned RAM = getting a RAM which is near to its OC wall..
