QUOTE(suzannetan @ Sep 22 2010, 11:22 PM) I can't agree more on what you said suzanne, no need to waste ur breath jor...if someone is adamant in getting a dog, he will get it by hook or by crook...it might end up being a sick dog also...he did email MPC regarding this too...i replied him the way u guys did and then no response from him dy... No 3 statement - Many said if you can't afford to even pay for the pet then how can you be assured that you will provide him/her a good life later on, or you may end up putting the dog for adoption again. The dog very cham one ok, they will develop a sense of belonging after 4-5months of age. Just see, if you take your friend's dog away I'm very sure that dog refuse to follow you as you're not the master. Only you pay with your hard earned cash you'll appreciate him/her more. The expenses are really no where near cheap, I believe many owners here can tell you, probably RM50 up to RM500 a month or even more on medical (touchwood No offence but if you can't even afford the amount of RM200, do you think you can come out with those expenses every month? Haha, I like statement 4, that's why I paid more for my dog instead of asking bf to pay. Statement 5 - Yes, that's very true you often find ppl's dog cute until you have one by yourself, they're just like baby they need your attention 24/7 besides their sleeping time. Just place another example, if you're going overseas/outstation do you have backup plans on where to put the dog? Make sacrifices, you need to spare time to bath him/her every week. Also, when he/she is sick you would want to stay home or even be awake to take care. I guess like what Divas mentioned, hardly anyone do put up the dog for adoption unless there's some sickness or maybe some leaving for other countries. Anyway all the best in finding one, else there'll be no hurry, get one only when you're out to work and have the ability to pay |

QUOTE(Divas @ Sep 23 2010, 09:06 PM) @huey80 - I kinda disagree with you. Well i agree that people who are set on getting a dog/pet won't listen, but it is still worth saying as perhaps someone else who was considering getting a pet for the wrong reasons/wrong place/whatever will read it and learn something new. And becoz most if not all ur replies are lengthy with almost no grammatical mistakes, it does pose a challenge for some ppl who r not proficient in the language to really understand what u r trying to say. Google translations dont help much. |

These idiots hv no idea how many ppl so wish to hv a teacup size but cudnt and here they have one who is living outdoors..WTH...Dont BS me with the excuse of having a baby then dogs r not allowed inside the house. When Sera kicks miloboy, i slap her face. gave away pug - eats his own shit and pill cost too much Now left with teacup poodle, starting live in house then currently living outside the yard cos at home got baby. She's a cute one but quite pity, so cold at night and really tiny I'm worried if anyone will steal or can get sick. I would adopt if one day they cannot afford to take care. Suzanne, u fast fast pray very very hard that they will let u adopt the poor little fella. |

Guys, have u read this? I think some of us may know who this Filipino 'vet' is...he is famous for being able to do scaling for dogs without sedation.
Here is an excerpt of the article Veterinarian Dr Jon Satyamoorthy says he has come across a Filipino “vet” who did vaccinations at his premises in Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. After his “practice” became known, he moved to a shop in the vicinity of Sri Hartamas, KL. Then there are the bogus vets who operate out of pet shops and offer vaccinations and other treatments. A check with several bona fide vets revealed that such a practice was quite common. Full article here http://thestar.com.my/lifestyle/story.asp?...6&sec=lifefocus |

QUOTE(michelle1010 @ Sep 30 2010, 10:33 PM) sorry for late reply, i already check in youtube, yes she is like tat,any ways to prevent it ?and why will hav reverse sneezing, izzit will hav it forever ? This is based on my experience or rather my son's.A few possibilities y they reverse sneeze : 1. furball inside stomach (rectify with laxative) 2. sensitive towards perfume, smoke, strong scent shampoo, fur/dirt (yes, they can be allergic to other type of fur besides their own..LOL). Once, i was cooking curry and my son choke/reverse sneezed. So u hv to monitor what triggers him to do so. 3. throat inflamed So what my vets advised is 1. top up with good supplements that boost their immune system (for me, i take DMG) 2. if they reverse sneeze for more than a few mins NON-STOP and tongue turns blue, seek help immediately (once, i brought my son for after office hours consultation at 11.30pm) 3. if u notice that there is phlegm when they cough, they need antibiotics Otherwise, they r just fine. No definite cause y this happens and it will be with them forever. We can only prevent or minimise attacks. Since two terrible attacks last 1-2 yrs ago, my son rarely exhibits such symptoms now. Once in a blue moon, he will go breathless and i will quickly pop a DMG tablet into his mouth. It works almost instantly. Hv u gone to see ur vet regarding this? He can explain to u further abt ur poodle's condition. Usually small breeds hv this prob due to their narrow trachea. |

If u r using Pet Esthe colour restoration range, u shud get its colour conditioner to 'lock' the colour after shampooing.
Pet Esthe brand is all natural/environmentally frenly. U can even use the white shampoo on coloured dogs like shih tzu. It contains no bleach. The SPA mud works magic for poodles with thick coat - detangles easily. It has given my poodle son less 'suffering' when brushing him after bath. |

I think what Divas meant was those breeders who deliberately breed/make poodles into teacup size is not good. Many yrs ago, when we 1st started to hear abt teacup poodles, these pups were actually given injection to stunt their growth. Thus, their lifespan was just ard 4-5 yrs max.
This is different from the more natural existence of teacup sizes. Meaning it;s a coincidence. For example, i never thot my Coco would be a teacup as her mummy is a tiny toy and dad is ard 11inches. COco was their first litter and 2nd child (only 2 pups). And yes, i do think her immune system was weaker comparatively when she was still a pup. She cud be coughing n coughing and after 3 visits to two diff vets still coughing. Then i decided to let her recover naturally - no more antibiotics and i changed her food. After that, she became stronger 8 mths onwards. 8 mths u know!! OMG!! |

Actually before this, i thot the number of pups per litter depends on what size their parents are esp the female...until i saw a tiny toy having 4 pups...and the latest news (got it last night), a toy size having SEVEN (7) pupssssssssss....in both cases, the daddies are a bit bigger than toy size.
So now number of pups depends on who? |

QUOTE(kenneth_koo @ Oct 7 2010, 10:44 AM) Good morning everyone, i think this is the standard pricing for retailers. it;s lucky that u can find those shops that give 10%....some dont even bother giving any discounts.Wondering anyone knows where can I get Artemis Fresh Mix Small Breed Puppy at a cheaper price? The store near my place is selling it at RM42 with a 10% discount, coming to RM37.80 for a 1.8kg pack. I am not trying to be a cheapskate but saving a ringgit or two might not seem much, but in the long run I believe it would make a difference =) Hope to get some great info from you guys. Cheers and have a great day |

QUOTE(bee86 @ Nov 11 2010, 10:38 AM) Thanks suzannetan. They say CC oso not bad, will try pet esthe to upkeep popeye colour 1st. PLC not selling pet esthe n CC, Petsmore selling pet esthe colour at RM69.90 . I heard pet esthe ar natural n environment friendly , so means if accidentally kena our kid eye n mounth oso ok rite? Hmmm...from my experience with Pet Esthe Colour Restoration, it WORKS but being a very natural product, it naturally takes time to see the results; 3-4 washes. I must remind everyone that the results depend on the doggie's original colour. It your poodle is light apricot, using BROWN will bring a bright orangy brown colour. As for Blossom whose red is not very dark, it will only make her colour darker, shinier. If u wanna use CHOCOLATE on a red poodle, it will have a darker red brown effect. Unfortunately, there is no BLACK colour. U can use MIXED colour for tri-coloured dogs.I use CHOCOLATE for coco and it has changed her white chin n chest to a light chocolate colour..LOL...coz i;m lazy to use WHITE on these 2 small areas. ALL PET ESTHE shampoos have the UV protection function. I use the SPA range on my hair. It's safe to use coz human's skin is thicker than furkids and our PH can tolerate. Petsmore doesnt give discount on shampoos? |

QUOTE(aileyteo @ Nov 11 2010, 04:04 PM) hi, i just a new user here ..mind ask u that I'm planning bring my furkid to Cameron highland, it is good idea let them wear pampers all the way? how old is ur pup? is she/he toilet-trained? y do u need to wear pampers for him? izzit becoz there is another male poodle in the car which u r afraid he will hump her, if ur pup is a female? how does ur pup usually do his business? on papers? inside cage? toilet/bathroom? if he can do it anywhere then u can make pitstops along the journey and let him relieve himself. for my poodles who have been to Camerons twice, they din pee/poo in the car and we din stop for their toilet breaks too. Once reached the apmt, they will either do it inside the cage, toilet or wee wee pads. |

QUOTE(aileyteo @ Dec 11 2010, 08:51 AM) LOL...i'm scary meh? i dunno if u got my last sentence in FB chatbox yday..i was saying i paid rm100 deposit for a grey poodle then when it was time to pick up the pup, it died!! It already had 2 vaccinations. Of coz i dont wish for the same thing to happen to urs.As for the puchong blue poodle, ive seen other blue ones before but this puchong one, the inner fur is a mixture of white, grey n black. I'm not sure if this is the true colour of a blue. The seller has no probs. She's a nice person. So it's up to u to judge the pup urself. Butttt i cant rber if she has more than 1 blue or not coz the one i saw is not like the 3rd n 4th pics. Maybe the hair grew longer n straighter...i'm not sure |
