if mods dun have the thor hammer, then mods have what kind of weapon?

how do some one become mod?? just asking 

So.......let me get this straight.

For example:

Staff = God with hammer on his right hand.......

Mods = ....................................................cleaner/janitor/garbageman/police patrol?

Cause mods only delete unpleasant post (garbage, dirty stuffs) and manage the place squeaky clean?
