in the light of the event of PSN's going offline, I couldn't help to notice Portal 2's feature, a built in Steam in the console's already existing online platform, PSN. this feature is absent with Xbox 360's version of the game. I suspect PSN is having a major problem with this integration but since Sony is desperate for some Valve lovin'.. (not easy to get Gabe himself to talk about the game on Sony's stage) Sony needs to desperately make this work for Valve. Another guess is this is just a beta or some sort, of integrating Steam on PSN, not just for Portal 2, but for everything, somthing like an additional service if you may, ala HULU or Netflick....

thats why bro, and since Hot's case, Sony is getting a bad media rapport. Then we have Anonymous, who claims to fight Sony on cyberspace turf. They managed to attack PSN via ddos ( or some shit like that ) but it was nothing to be worried about on Sony's camp. And what better time to 'regain some face' for Sony .. they have this problem and Anonymous is an easy target, by blaming them on this problem .

Groups like Anonymous are attention whores, and what good is an attack if they can't claim responsibility by it? Its a classic case of terrorism. While Sony work their asses off the problem, frustrated gamers blame Anonymous for the downtime. Sony wins, kacccching!!

However I pity those DCUO gamers over this downtime. According to PSN toc, Sony is not liable to anything on events like this, so those who thinks Sony will give somthing free to compensate the downtime please stop hoping.

in DCUO gamers' case I think they will be compensated.
