7 channels is actually 7.1
2 front 2 surround 2 rear surround 1 center 1 subwoofer
n the list goes on n on
normally a decent speaker set cost more than 1k wit the subwoofer
i got mine in a package
whole pioneer set
so i can upgrade later one by one
