back to topic, n8 could probably beat satio in terms of cam performance especially in lowlight? i noe that n8 has the largest imaging sensor but no side b side comparison between n8 n satio to prove it wor..

yea thats very true.. i'll compare side by side between the two phones before buying it..

i just watched one of n8 preview video in india.. it says probably it can send vga signals via 3.5mm port.. i dont think its true..

sorry to say, it's actually the other way round...
small sensor with high pixel count -> more noise
large sensor with same pixel count -> less noise
large sensor with less pixel count -> even less noise

contrary to what most consumers understand out there, higher megapixels does not means higher quality, in fact, it's the other way round. You see those digital camera that has 1/2.33 sensor size but put 14MP, the picture you take wont be clean at all, or detail would be lost due to NR filter. Lower megapixels will result in less noise, not more.

if n8 body scrth resistant then no point put protector rite? if not scratch resistant then i would purchase invisible shield for whole body

You mean Image Processor and their Image Processing Engine for digital cameras. For same sensor size and same megapixel, you will see the difference, but it will not help much...I prefer unprocessed image, so that i have full control on how to process it
someone make N8 app that have manual control and shots RAW please? lol

to make thing short, most current camera image quality are not limited by the processor but it's optical & sensor.... now lots of camera racing on the processing power to get more FPS nia.... 

so u mean if install invisible shield on screen.. it will feel very sticky when u use it? n i guess wont be comfortable to use it rite?

if you mean in a condition where light is very sufficient, like outdoor for example, even normal DC would perform great. The real test on normal DC is dim light condition where they would manually bump the ISO, noise would be horrible...

even when there are no noise, it maybe due to aggressive noise reduction filtering. The picture would be ok to look at, it might smear out some of the fine details..if your usage is just upload to facebook then maybe it's ok, but when u view in full size pixel by pixel, you can see you actually lost quite a lot of details one

wad about the scrreen if its sticky wont be comfortable to use the touch screen?

N8 using Broadcom BCM2727 as it image processing i think...

Generation by generation, the hardware they throw in would normally be better. In this case where hardware(processing chip) can perform better, they would also pair it with a better image processing engine. Like my LX-3 for example, it uses Venus Engine IV, while it's successor, LX-5 i think uses Venus Engine HD, and with that engine it has improve a lot in terms of burst show RAW limit, color correction, etc etc...

so it's not just the processor itself, the engine they pair with the processor also plays an important role in the picture quality

with that said, i do hope nokia brings some serious processing engine in the N8 since it's so much powerful then any previous phone from them...

well, like i mentioned, normally outdoor scenes it would look very nice..somemore that one is a macro shot, it's normal for background to be blur, cos the focus point is too close to the lens that it couldn't focus the background too..for macro shot it's easy to get blurry background effect actually.
I recall N8 using OMAP 3430, which runs a PowerVR SGX530, not Broadcom BCM2727...according to OMAP 3430's specification, the PowerVR is used to encode/decore video and process image as well..

when i saw this last time, i was shocked

if its true than its awesome.. also stated iphone screen scattered when drop from knee length.. that n8 dropeed from 10x the height of the iphone dropped.. so n8 10X stronger than iphone  

they say it is gorilla glass, duno bout it being a fingerprint magnet though..need to wait till the actual testing sessions by the mighty morphing nokia rangers before we get solid info about it
