I don't think it is a good idea to do engine wash at shop.
1. they use high preesure water that may sips into unwanted places (fuse box, connectors, etc).
2. when you arrived there, the engine parts is still hot. Spray with cold water may create cracks.
*
actually its not an issue.... the shops will know wat to cover....

only thing is the spark plugs..just make sure they dont spray too long over ur spark plug cover and itll be fine.

otherwise will end up like my old B16A.... water got into the cylinders and become motorboat doh.gif

you rotate every 5k?? wow.... rajin... hehe... thumbup.gif

i service my car every 5k.... so every service i also do balancing and alignment... so just tell them to switch front to back and back to front lor. cant do the X rotation coz my tires are directional and have to remove the tires from the rims...

QUOTE(jVIPERs2 @ Sep 1 2010, 05:34 PM)
Hahahahahha.. I tried to get CoE to rotate my tires, they tell me..the P.I.C. for tyre is unavailable...
Have been trying to since I got my car..now @ 35,000KM already~  sweat.gif
*
35k km?? then y still go to proton? how long u need to service in proton in order to be eligible or maintain the warranty?

if it were me...once warranty terms are met... i wouldnt bother anymore with service centres man....expensive, waste of time coz they take fuggin forever, not many will allow u to use ur own products.. and their product choices are extremely limited...

Well, the car does come with a 5 year warranty..  sweat.gif
*
but u dont need to be servicing there for the entire 5 years mah right?

iirc as long as all ur first 1k or 10k service is done in SC then ur warranty should be valid...

i think if i buy the Neo CPS i might need the AUX cable oso....

but ill be making my own using Canare F10 RCA Plugs with Canare L-4E6S cables and a panel mount female stereo mini plug i bought from radioshack when i was in US a few years ago...

will probably give it a nice sleeving too...maybe UV yellow brows.gif

will also probably make a stereo mini-mini interconnect using the same cables but with neutrik plugs...

change to USB? can...can always just solder the USB into the cable.......but its gonna be useless la....

USB is meant for digital signal...the aux cable is for analog signal.

that will depend on the HU i guess...if it accepts USB input then can la...

some HUs the USB input is at the back and u need a USB extension cable...some HUs the USB slot right in front.

I wonder if from AUX we change it to USB like this hmm.gif

http://www.diyforums.org/BantamDAC/BantamC...-1-1024x768.jpg
*
thats a USB DAC...Digital to Analog Converter... which means yeah u can basically use it....

BUT...dont expect it to be useable with a thumbdrive... ull need an external player which is able to output digital signal via USB...then plug in to the DAC and it will output in analog form into ur amp...

or in this case...into the analog input of the HU... which is usually the AUX. (u can also plug in directly to ur car's amp if u have one, but will only be for 2 channels and will only be sound at the speakers which the amp is connected to, pluging into the HU will make the HU spread the sound properly using its internal EQ/preamp/crossover)

and examples of a player which is able to output digital signal via USB...would be a laptop or a PC...which is wat USB DACs are mainly used for.

again, its still better to get a HU which has USB capabilities

actually for me the HU is a MUST change laugh.gif

especially since i already spent a tonne of money on my current ICE..so everything must transfer...including my (used to be) expensive Alpine HU...actually i might change HU again but with USB capabilities..current one dun have... and the HU with USB that has somewhat better but still comparable specs to my current Alpine is another Alpine at RM2k sweat.gif

steering controls.... oso no need coz wanna change to my momo and NRG quick release brows.gif

Just lucky maybe. Most battery are designed so that it can last 1 year, more than that, its bonus already. laugh.gif

correction....most DRY CELL/MAINTENANCE FREE batteries...

wet cell can last up to 4 years plus like my old battery...as long as its well maintained

dont think his budget can get good adjustables...

dun wanna recommend the mines....too cheap...makes me doubt.

anyway...if 1.5k is for suspension and everything else...then id recommend starting off with sport springs...later on change sport absorbers once stock absorbers koyak.
