QUOTE(strategist @ Jul 12 2011, 07:54 PM) Guys is it possible to reject a firm choice in order to go to your insurance university? Added on July 12, 2011, 7:58 pmOr rather, is it possible to get a unconditional offer after your A-Levels results is released from your insurance university instead of your firm university in order to apply for scholarship? For instance if I hope to secure a scholarship with an unconditional offer from Imperial College but it is definitely not my first choice. So should I put it as my firm in this case? probably you have to ask ucas about that. not so sure.

QUOTE(reyes_ragu @ Aug 2 2011, 12:50 AM) hello i would like to know what should be included in the bank statement for the visa application. As far as i am concern the money should be in the bank for at least 28 days. Anything else that i should be concern about? Yeah, if its outside London the total amount should be <your tuition fees> + 5400pounds. Not so sure bout in London though. A consent letter from your sponsor indicating the money in the account can be used by you for your studies in the Uk.

I've got a very good deal. rm1.8k one way ticket from Mas. For a direct flight, its quite a good deal. 20kilo's though but with the Grads card you will get an additional 10kilo's. Oh yeah, ISIC no longer works for MAS. Other airlines maybe.

QUOTE(terrabyte @ Aug 11 2011, 11:17 PM) Must we print out the currency conversion rate from oanda when we submit our visa application? If not, must the bank statement/reference letter state the savings in pounds instate of malaysian ringgit? Nope, Malaysia Ringgit is fine Though after conversion, the value of the Ringgit must be more or equivalent to the Pounds.

QUOTE(malayantiger @ Aug 13 2011, 04:29 AM) Yes, and do make sure they are of good quality and not blurry! I did mine at Sunway Hospital together with my blood test. Paid good money for it too. They were not happy with mine because there was a 'cloud' on the image and they suspected TB! I had to retake my chest x-ray when I arrived at Cardiff. Did it in an old dilapidated infirmary not even fit for purpose! Their x-ray equipment must be like a hundred years old. I wasn't happy because I was exposed twice to radiation in less than a week. The Doctor said it was fine but still. The second x-ray thankfully was ok. The x-ray in Cardiff was free btw. Actually, its just the chest x-ray that they want right ? Since they didn't ask me for any medical documents. But I guess my parents would want me to do a full medical check up before I leave. Le sigh, needles.

QUOTE(strategist @ Aug 13 2011, 04:48 PM) hi, what is the approximate living cost in London? Is it safe to assume that 1,000 pounds is the maximum cap per month? 1000 pounds ? That's a lot, I'd say. Unless you're living in some high class/expensive place.
