QUOTE(MisterCrono @ Dec 12 2010, 10:40 AM) been looking at hotels, resorts and tourism based company and sending out resume as much as i can. Don't really give myself high hope though, just try out my luck good luck in ur application .... Birmingham, just went there last week, went for their christmas market and shopping only. Try out 红满天,literally translated as red full sky. It's good will check out the places u mentioned. thanks! QUOTE(kelvinbongcn @ Dec 13 2010, 05:37 AM) The clock tower in the uni of Birmingham is the world's highest clock tower. current hospital next to the university is Europe largest hospital if not mistaken.. hmm beside that is bull ring, sea life (u'll have this one everywhere in Uk).. cadbury.... that's all i can think of after i studied there for 3 years!!! 3 years at birmingham should be very fun ... heard that the place is very "people moutain people sea" ... LOLQUOTE(zhan @ Dec 13 2010, 09:30 PM) Hello all, I'm wondering do any of you guys have any agency/agents contact for applying to do post-graduate studies in UK? I did everything on my own, i mean application. Took me almost 8months in advance to research each uni and module that suits me. Post-grad focuses on a smaller scope which is very different from undergrad, if u get onto the wrong module that doesnt interest u, u will have a hard time completing it.I'm planning to further my studies in UK, specifically London. Setting aside the issue of education fees hike/barriers to enter UK for education has been increased, I would like to know is there any smoother route to study in UK. Note: I'm not trying to use studies as a path to enter UK & work there. I'm solely planning to complete my masters there at the shortest time. Thanks all! Advices/recommendations are welcome, perhaps criticism too. As long as u have all the financial stuff ready in the bank account, it wouldnt be hard for u to get a visa, that of course u must have an unconditional offer letter beforehand. Most post-grad in UK are only 12months which is the shortest, and u can try out graduate scheme after u get awarded. |

QUOTE(zhan @ Jan 8 2011, 02:22 AM) Thank you. yes and yes, birth certificate is require and must be translated. Added on January 8, 2011, 2:26 amI would like to check with you all. I have came across people saying in order to apply for student visa got to show them the financial capability for at least 28 days right? So, for instance, the FD account is between the father & son, it got to need the birth certificate to prove this? And, do we need to translate the birth cert to English during the Visa application? Please advice. Thanks! While applying for British visa, the form require u to write in an estimate total amount which consist of full tuition fees and all living cost. Ur financial statement should be able to cover everything, and best to be over the estimated amount. I had a friend who got rejected due to the lack of RM400. Visa application opens 3months before your course commence date. |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Jan 10 2011, 01:24 PM) you don't have to estimate.....the requirement is gbp800/mth for london and 600 out of london, for 9 months (which is the actual academic year).....ie 7200 and 5400 respectively.....you only need to show funds for the 1st year....... ops .. forgotten about that, good thing u point it out ... the form did state it but its confusing ... and of course your course fees for the 1st year, which is clearly shown in cas document from your uni...... you can avoid needing to translate the birth cert and letter from parent if the money is in your own account.......needs to be in the account for 30 days at least, as shown by a statement/bankbook dated not longer than 28 days before application....... anyway, just beware of public bank book ... my gf got rejected coz public bank book was too confusing the the border officers did not understand and rejected her application .. i wasnt there with her when she went to collect her visa, that is wat i have been told.. so far most of my friends used fixed deposit certificates and got through quickly ... QUOTE(shymx @ Jan 11 2011, 03:32 PM) good luck and have fun .. when u r free, check out Birmingham's market and shopping centre .. seems to have nice weather over at Wolverhampton too =) Added on January 11, 2011, 7:19 pm QUOTE(zhan @ Jan 10 2011, 10:12 PM) How do you compare London to Sheffield? If Sheffield is a student city, does that means living expenses & entertainment expenses would definitely much more lower compare to London? Sheffield is known to be more student friendly, things r cheap and abundance due to the amount of student over there ... Added on January 10, 2011, 10:16 pm Will take note of the bank statement must be printed in Original letter head.... Wow, so you applied once and you got it huh? Great! I wish I too can have the same... for example, electronic games, can get quite cheap, genuine ones, though its second hand ... food, way way cheaper than London ... local students here doesnt live in luxury nor poverty, everything they do, they plan and have a budget and most of the budget spends on drinking this does not apply to London though ... just get all ur documents right, and u will be fine .. took me 4days to get it during the pre-peak season (early August) ... ps: anyone doing bodybuilding/fitness/sports that require any fitness stuff such as protein powders just let me know .. i got a few reliable sites that i tried before and some good local brands ..
