maybe the ram prevent you clock higher, since it is already reach lowest dram ratio. unsure.gif
if want core speed beyond 3ghz, you have to overclock the ram as well.

I'm new to OCing and I want to ask how to set RAM ratio to CPU ? Like 2:1 etc Which part of my BIOS ? BTW I'm using low end asus mobo with 6500.
*
can refer to the mainboard manual.
find something like dram ratio. unsure.gif

OK then which ratio is best ? 1:1 ?

i think depends on what clock you want. brows.gif

Huh ? Got a guide mou ? I very confuse le...
*
use this formula: biggrin.gif
dram clock = base clock x dram ratio

example: biggrin.gif
base clock = 200mhz
dram ratio = 1:2

dram clock = 200 x 2/1 = 400mhz

is it possible?
1.7-1.8v on this 65nm chips won't too high? unsure.gif

i dun think any air cooling can do this or even WC in our ambient temp here...  hmm.gif
*
oh, because that time got a forumer in cari forum mention about similar things.
so i curious and search around. unsure.gif
roughly remember he say he can run the core 2 duo E6600 at 4ghz on 1.8v vcore. shocking.gif

i dunno bro ... if without gc , i can't go higher clocks ....

face this before also. unsure.gif

Hi,newbie in here in overclocking,
I use q6600 and mobo p35ds3l.
Quick question,is it normal the vcore is drop during stressing?
Because using cpuz, the idle voltage is 1.23v eventhough in bios I manually set 1.275v.Then,during stress the voltage reading is 1.20v.
Is there tools that accurately read the vcore?
*
maybe something related to load line calibration. unsure.gif

QUOTE(DotaGamer @ May 28 2012, 07:56 PM)
I wrongly set something at RAM clock (because oc fsb = oc ram, i doesnt wan to oc ram for lower the risk) then bios won't boot, then i remove cmos battery,
then i boot n oc back 2.8ghz agn and set the smart fan, but my temp from idle 40c become 46~49c  cry.gif
i not really touched cpu hsf while removing cmos battery but i thought my gc heat sink blocked me for removing cmos battery so i remove the gc then only remove cmos battery  sweat.gif
got what possible reason that i made the temp become so high??
*
vcore and clock have impact on the temperature. unsure.gif

Hi,I set to stock voltage which is for my mobo it detect at 1.275v.
And run prime 95 for about 4 hours it is still stable.
But,after I shutdown the pc,and switch off the power at plug,
Then when I want to turn on the pc, it behave like this,
When I push power button, the pc is on for several seconds and then shut off by itself,
Then after several second it will turn on back again and boot as normal.
It is normal?
Sorry if out of topic.
Thanks
*
seem not normal, it is everytime also like this? unsure.gif

only when I turn off the socket power,
If the socket power is turn on,it can boot normally.

then see whether increase vcore can solve this or not? unsure.gif

It is only okay if I not overclock the proc.

hmm, i dont know why this happen.
i just face the opposite case with you before,
but no idea also. unsure.gif

Why do we need to disable this option?
What will happen if we enable this option?
Next question,
which one more faster
example q6600 has 6-9 multiplier,

333*9= 3GHz FSB 1333MHz
or
375*8=3GHz FSB 1500MHz?
*
higher fsb probably help abit. hmm.gif
