manage to pass 8 hours stress test with prime 95. with 0 errors 0 warnings

my cpu OC from 2.7 to 3.5 (260x13.5)
before this not stable cause of ram frequency.

team elite ram very noob 1 lol.
i have to lower the timing from 6-6-6-15 to 7-7-7-20 (390mhz)
my ram rated at 667mhz DDR3.

gonna test with dual ram kvr 2gbx2 soon with tight timing.
team elite ram very fragile 1.

my mobo not so good in oc.
can't change volt at bios
mobo model : msi g41-p28 http://www.msi.com/product/mb/G41M-P28.html

does lowering ram frequency affect performance too?

what u think about RAM, is it bad ratio?
*
i think my rating would be medium - high rate ..... already cool and great biggrin.gif

Guys needed help on OC my old system E6230 4gb ram with a Asus P5K pro  mobo~
*
biggrin.gif wow bro ... u hav same cpu like mine but already sold it sad.gif

mine highest oc is 2.86GHz ..... using msi g31tm-p31 mobo n a 4gb of ram

try to tweak this ( idunno what in ur bios write it mine is cell menu for overclocking in bios menu )

fsb : default maybe 266
multiplier set to 7

try to raise the fsb as hi as u can until it unstable then lower the fsb about 2MHz or 5Mhz

multiplier mean clock ratio?default clock ratio was auto got 2 option 6 and 7
i tried raise my FSB from 266 straight to 333 the unit went down @_@ result me to reset bios
any clue?
*
multiplier is not the clock ratio i think hmm.gif already forgot sum of thiz ...

ratio = cpu & ram voltage sharing ... sumthin like dat ....

multiplier will look like this in bios mostly

CPU multiplier = 6x , 7x ,8x n so on

wokeh .... pm me this

PSU = how many watts ?
GC =Ati or Nvidia
Mobo =what did u use
ram = ddr2 or ddr3 n how many Mhz ?

post me sum pix of ur bios ... use camera or anything tht can see clearly

. thumbup.gif

i try 2 learn ur mobo bios 1st ... thumbup.gif

multiplier proc = processor clock ratio. its not the same thing with FSB : DRAM ratio
you need to increase the fsb step by step, not straight big jump from 266 -->333
try 266-->270-->275-->280-->285.
if want overclock proc + ram, nothing to do with GC.  just set the gpu clock to 100  rclxms.gif
*
i dunno bro ..... i need to use gc to overclock more higher hmm.gif

er.. overclock the proc is not related to the gpu.. how the gpu can make the proc go higher..
unless you want to achieve higher score in the benchmark that come with gpu (graphic test) score,
then its different story  nod.gif
i dun think any air cooling can do this or even WC in our ambient temp here...  hmm.gif
*
i dunno bro ... if without gc , i can't go higher clocks ....

oh, because that time got a forumer in cari forum mention about similar things.
so i curious and search around. unsure.gif
roughly remember he say he can run the core 2 duo E6600 at 4ghz on 1.8v vcore. shocking.gif

face this before also. unsure.gif
*
i dunno but it is a weird method or weird problem ???? shocking.gif

of course with GC we can clock higher, but the brand or series of GC is doesn't matter. any GC will do
if you OC without GC (using IGP), we can't clock higher because NB not stable, more heat produce.
thats why rule in OC, must use discrete GPU  nod.gif
*
yeap .... dun care 128 ,256 or 512 or ddr2 gc will do biggrin.gif

hmm, how do you check the chipset thingy?
Under cpu-z can check?

i dun remembuh tongue.gif ... maybe cpu z or gpu z ( for gc only )
