Basically find the correct PLL chip you have on your mobo and just use move the silder in SetFSB to the right to increase the FSB and hopefully it stable...

You need either to set from AHCI to IDE in BIOS or slipstream your XP installer with AHCI driver...

Just look around in the bios for AHCI, then just change it to IDE...
Don't have any Asus notebook to test it now...

Most likely need to edit the .INF to include your hardware ID...

or so it seems that Optimus won't run in XP, rendering only Intel HD active....

Believe it or not windows xp runs pretty decient on this asus optimus , oh you cant use the nvidia side but the intel side will work . I had to do a lot of digging to find drivers but I did .

QUOTE(dante10 @ Sep 19 2010, 03:29 PM)
can someone show me how to use the setfsb to overclock the cpu n gpu of a42jv to the speed  show in the first page of this forum...would like to try it... tongue.gif
*
CPU
Open SetFSB, choose the PLL shown in 1st post, then push GetFSB, see got error message or not, if none, see whether it reporting the correct FSB or not, if its correct then just slide the slider to the right and SetFSB to overclock it...

GPU
Download MSI AfterBurner 1.6.1, then install it, go to its folder then open MSIAfterburner.cfg, change
EnableUnofficialOverclocking = 0 to 1
Then try up the Core Clock by 25MHz and use Furmark to stress the GPU for couple minutes, check for artifacts, then repeat until you get artifact or hang, then you reach your limit,
Then set to default again the Core Clock and repeat the same for Memory Clock, increase 2MHz each until reach the limit,
After both done, set both Core Clock and Memory Clock to the limit and stress the GPU again to check for artifact, if got, then reduce either one of it till you reach no more artifacts..
As for last test, try play games, see the overclocking is stable or not...

dun think so, cause clockworked one is his gpu downclocking to cool off, although the temperature is low. Is your BIOS updated?
*
I thought the clock stay the same, just that the GPU load decrease?

@afify88, does your place need specific IP address or register MAC address?

QUOTE(DoubleU @ Sep 20 2010, 12:13 AM)
btw, shouldn't IPv6 usually say " no network access"?

look under Network adapter
right click the LAN adapter, uninstall
then Action - Scan hardware changes
the LAN adapter should be installed again, settings should go back to default...
