Hmm.. I tried installing iDeneb but it doesnt boot at all and keep restarting... What's the prob? Is it due to my missing SMBUS controller thingy?

urs is on 4gb or 2gb?

Mine is 4gb ram but usage around 44-45% when on chrome few tabs and iTunes... So urs quite normal I guess..

Tempted to overclock my lappie but have no knowledge at all LOL..

Do I have to overclock both CPU and GPU together?

oh shit, i tried to take the windows 7 sticker.. now got the leftover sticker stain.... can't seem to rub it off... any solutions?

Added on November 14, 2010, 8:41 amoh nvm, finally rubbed it off after numerous attempts LOL...

A42 series are all 0.3MP

0.3mega pixel = 640*480 resolution.. Well around any normal youtube videos quality

what's better in Ubuntu? I tried Ubuntu on another very old laptop and didn't really like it... Too much pseudo codes to learn and I think currently Windows7 on A42Jv is fast enough to do everything smoothly...

Erm, I must say I haven't really found a most effective spot I am guessing, idle temp are approximately the same... But probably would help a lot in heat dissipation when playing games... Normally I don't load the laptop with much programs when on Battery power, so I don't really know actually...

edit* just tested lappie without cooler but on battery mode instead... I am on battery saving mode, idle is 50-51 same as with cooler when a/c plugged in lol...



Anyways, got a question here guys, is it possible to prevent the power4gear battery saving mode to change to the ugly white asus wallpaper?

Wouldn't that mean I need to change it everytime I change to a new wallpaper? Lol.. Just off it would be much more convenient, it's not like the battery saving wallpaper would gain me half an hour more battery life anyways..
