QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Aug 27 2010, 02:59 PM) Of course it helps in performance... mr. lee, yes, the heat will be more.Heat is more as well Though haven't got any shutdown due to overheating... I just bought Notepal Infinite to counter that. i know u OC before. Can share how much the performance increase (in term of FPS) vs temperature increase (GPU temp, CPU temp, others temp.) Thanks. |

CPU and GPU seems like only increase 3-5C, while on L4D2, average fps increase around 10fps, other games, didn't tried...

QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Aug 27 2010, 03:03 PM) yes, i read the OC instruction in the Nvidia forum. Basically OC the GPU Core Speed first, increase by 5 Mhz repeatlyuntil you see the black spot, blackout in your display. Then reduce it by 10 Mhz. After that overclock CPU Core Speed by 5 Mhz repeatly and test. The steps are same as overclock the GPU. |

You can't really overclock the CPU the same way with GPU, since the setFSB isn't really support A42Jv's PLL. So the slider didn't work since it detect wrong clocks, but still usable to OC the CPU...

For now, the overclocking is possible.
But it can't let you increase the fsb in small amount in the easy way. It will straight overclock the fsb to 160MHz... |
